The Classical Gardens of Suzhou, China are inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Site: "Classical Chinese garden design, which seeks to recreate natural landscapes in miniature, is nowhere better illustrated than in the nine gardens in the historic city of Suzhou. They are generally acknowledged to be masterpieces of the genre. Dating from the 11th-19th century, the gardens reflect the profound metaphysical importance of natural beauty in Chinese culture in their meticulous design." (Quote from whc.unesco.org/en/list/813).

I spent 4 days here in 1992, visiting perhaps a dozen gardens. I now have in my retirement a jungle acre of my own on the wet side of Maui. Because of differences in elevation, my garden has various parts and moods. But I learned the elements 30 years ago in Suzhou. The illusion is to make a whole world out of a small space.

Luckily all these places are not too far from each other ,you should land in Shanghai and then take the high speed rail to Suzhou or Hangzhou, then take a tour bus to Huangshan.

I highly recommend Nanjing as well. I spent 4 days there (which wasn't enough) but I loved it. The Ming Walls you can walk on top of it and beneath is a giant lake right in the centre of the city. It's a small city with a lot to see and accommodation and food is really cheap. You can easily find places around $30-40 a night (I'm not sure of the currency, but it's like 250 yuan) and food for $5-10 dollars. If you are interested, I can recommend you many places. Near Huangshan there are also many villages worth visiting, the architecture is beautiful and it's only place that still makes ancient ink and paper from thousands of years ago.

Wow ! How fortunate to visit when the fresh, soft spring growths contrasts and mellows the naturalistic rock outcroppings and stone hardscapes. The azaleas in pots are displayed rightfully like the treasured heirlooms they are. The aesthetic perfection of the ornate windows framing garden / nature scenes is outstanding. - Thank you for continuing to post your work here. It’s so great!

Amazing Places on Our Planet. Im looking for a camera/camcorder that has superb quality, but not want to wish to pay the motherload for it. Is the AX100 something you would recommend? or something else? For instance. Do you find it a problem it captures 4k on 25fps and not lets say 60? or even 30? And for instance. Your video's are all very steady captured. But what if I would do a pan just a bit faster than what your video's show. is the footage then still smooth?

If you want to pan faster it will help to have 50p or 60p. At this point AX700 is newer model, I am sill looking for a more serious upgrade

Also one more important question. Does the Sony AX100 have a timelapse mode? So something like capturing 1 frame per second?

No, unfortunately. My older Pana TM900 had this mode. With AX100 you will need to record long video, which will consume a lot of memory
