They are too expensive. I used to use them when I was younger and they were great. Now I buy D’addario and I won’t look back due to cost and availability.

Wow this is the first time I've ever seen or heard anybody mention Luthier. I have them on a couple ukuleles and I think they are awesome but I'm definitely no expert. I'm thinking about getting them for a classical guitar now. What's your experience been with them?

@@MC-zr7hl Luthier is about the same as D'Addario EJ45. It's popular among Flamenco players. Paco de Lucia and Tatyana Ryzhkova use it.

@johnlay3040 hey good to know thanks. Also gives me a couple musicians to look up. I play some classical music on low g ukuleles but I've only started on the classical guitar journey a few weeks ago. Appreciate the info!

@@MC-zr7hl I would like to suggest Ana Vidovic, Marcin Dylla, Tatyana Ryzhkova, and also Tavi Jinairu. They are all good musicians and play with good classical technique. There are also a couple of good teachers Edson Lopes and Gohar Vardanyan. They are all on KZfaq. For older pioneers, I would suggest you listen to Andre Segovia, Julian Bream, John Williams, and David Russell. Note: As you are just starting, please pay attention to the RH positioning, as this is where most people get wrong and difficult to correct later on. Of course, LH is no less important.

@johnlay3040 that's awesome thank you so much. Would have taken me so long to find these performers on my own. I just watched a couple videos of each. That was so inspiring, the way they play with such emotion. The classical guitar truly is a special instrument there's nothing like it.
