I am Erymanthon Seth, I am an Italian musician and I play guitars, bass, some mandolin and keyboards and do some singing, both death vocals and clean singing.
I am the man behind Apocalypse, an Epic/Black Metal solo project heavily influenced by Bathory, which basically is my way to pay tribute and continue what Quorthon had started.

They really do, Bach especially! And thank you! Tone was very simple. A couple of rack units in a Marshall combo cab and a Shure sm58, that's it.

That first one fits perfectly as a black metal song. Also, funny that The person who wrote in the hall of the mountain king (Edvard Grieg) was Norwegian himself, so that makes it even cooler.

Ja, and he was from Bergen of all places. The Griegallen Studio, where a lot of those Black Metal milestones were recorded, was named after him.

Great to hear and see someone do this. Black Metal is the only music I listen to anymore. Randy Rhoads the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne was originally educated in classical guitar, and he combined that with Heavy Metal to help form a subgenre later known as Neoclassical Metal. What a great talent he was, and a great loss for us all.

Randy was a great guitar player and it's a shame he died so young. He could have given so much more. He certainly was a great contribution to the modern stye of guitar playing, even though the most "dramatic" impact on shred guitar, especially when it comes to the Neoclassical style, was due to Yngwie Malmsteen, I think. Glad you liked my video. Haven't really seen Classical music and Black Metal get combined before, not that much anyway. Black Metal is amazing, but don't limit yourself to that. There's tons of great and original music that is very interesting in other genres too.

That's great. I went to a pipe organ concert last week, and I also went to a couple other concerts last month, one was for orchestra and the other was for strings ensemble. They played stuff by Bach, Verne, Grieg, Sibelius and a bunch of others. Great music!

Recently discovered your two videos about classical x BM. I always thought about this when listening, among others, to Gorgoroth or Emperor, or more modern stuff as the brand new Sühnopfer single (which has a HUGE baroque influence). Please keep up with the great content!

@@napalmizer Oh I don't know, I arranged the parts myself by ear. It's in A minor anyway so you should be able to figure it out yourself using modes and scales.

@@erymanthonseth9295 Check out their album Witchcraft. It is a Symphonic Black Metal masterpiece. Pest from Gorgoroth was their vocalist. Has the raw Norwegian Black Metal sound mixed with Baroque elements in the music and orchestration. One of the few Metal bands I've listened to that actually utilizes counter point. They are a Gem to those who have heard their music

Anyone knows bands/solo artists composing something similar to this (neoclassical black metal, I guess??), if violins and piano are used as well, that will be great stuff to listen to. Anyway, nice video, mate!

Thanks man! No, I am not aware of "neoclassical black metal" bands. That's why I made this video, it seemed a pretty original idea to me. I had never seen this style in other bands at all so I wanted to try for myself. But then again, it might just be me not knowing of any bands that do this. As far as including piano and pipe organ and stuff in black metal, I recommend you listen to "The Principle of Evil Made Flesh" by Cradle of Filth. That record has some neoclassical influences especially in the song intros and stuff.

Opeth's first two albums have a vague neoclassical vibe at certain points. Most other times I've heard a band attempt type of thing, it sounded cheesy and unconvincing. I'd recommend just listening to the classics as they are.

I like it better when melodic parts are overdubbed by a higher pitched lead guitar. Personal preference I guess. Had I turned them into full songs, I would likely have alternated riffing parts and "lead" parts.

No, I don't know any. I do use some baroque inspired melodies and harmonies with my project, I will especially on the next album, but I don't know any bands that sound 100% like this.

You mean in Black Metal style? I had learned it a while ago as a lead guitar piece, I could try and practice it again. I'm not sure I can turn it all in a Black Metal piece though.
