Also, quick backstory on our 'Aju Nice' inside joke- after Seventeen did 384576 encores of Aju Nice at KCON LA 2019, the ReacttotheK crew who attended started making aju nice puns and literally all they did was make aju nice dad jokes after the concert into the wee hours of the morning and now the KCON LA RTK reactors like to Aju Nice mess with Umu whenever they can.

I am surprised that Dead Poets Society is not more well known amongst this generation’s American students. It appears there are missed cues because of that, such as the in-your-face ending of the boy’s standing on their pedestals/desks.

I was trying to put my finger on it and was happy to have a word for it! Hit really didn't resonate with me much and it was definitely because of the "hypermasculinity" to it.

Seventeen is a group that is so damn good with experimenting. You are all right about the hype and energetic beat as well as the change of chord sounds. I think so well too but if you are going to listen to their other so songs since debut it's very different from the other. Like Woozi(producer,composer,lyricist) can definitely make a song from old to new and new to sound classical vibe. And despite having a great number you'd be so surprised about how good minimalist they can be as well. You can listen to their album : An ode title track-fear. You'd definitely can see how it is different from hit but so good still. This group is born to not just change norms in Kpop (which they are now) their music is really interesting to listen because it is evolving continously in each album. They are born to be Musicians and not just Idols.

well seventeen is a BIG DANCE GROUP (is the most synchronized boy group in kpop according to computers) so a lot of their music is really hype to match their hyped up dancing. woozi (shortest member and produces all their songs from scratch) is really talented, considering that more than half of svt’s discography is under his name.

when you think about it, the hypermasculinity of hit sound is a great contrast next to fear because hit is very hard hitting while fear is very vulnerable

I haven't liked seventeen's title tracks the past years (the last I liked was don't wanna cry) but this one became one of my favorites! most of the musicians said the music gave them nostalgia and I have to agree. that's why I like this so much the synth sounds so late 2000s I love it a lot 😍

This video was a HIT. I am going to be honest; I became a full out carat after this song because everything in this music video is EPIC and it hits HOME;RUN. I love these type of music like with high level of adrenaline rush and fills one with excitement. The choreography ,music,singing everything is awesome and brilliant and any shades of Blue 'suits' Seventeen . They look charming in all shades and tints of blue. I definitely agree that a lot of k-pop choruses tend to be minimal. I think they make the choruses chatchy and easy to remember, and then make you look forward to the verses rather than the verses just being a filler in between
