Imagine facing Waqar and Wasim with New ball. After surviving them for 10 overs suddenly shoaib arriving with 150+ deliveries and Azhar Mehmood and Abdul Razzak with those little swings. After all these once the ball is old then all 5 pacers can reverse it. Goodness me, now a days you can't find 5 bowlers of such quality in the entire world.

This the era where the real ODI cricket did exist , reverse swing and great spin bowling , People witnessed so many tight games, the introduction of use of two balls brought the catastrophe for some great teams , Specially teams like Sri Lanka , Sri Lanka produced magnificent batsmen who play really good on OLD ball, Also great bowlers who used the OLD ball really well

It's also the rule changes. They have done away with the reverse swing due to all the ball changes. TESTS are the only place where swing bowlers have a chance

Those talking about 193. The story is simple. It was a batting strip. Things were going perfect for NZ. The ball started reversing and things fell apart for NZ in the next 20 overs. No better exponent of reverse swing than Wasim, Waqar and Shoaib. No matter how the pitch behaves.

@@AnandKumar-ty9qsyes we can see that from the reply just a hairy distance, but when you see it live it doesn’t look like it pitched outside leg so in general this is out 95% of the time from most of the umpires. I’m talking about only a couple of umpires including him who hold unknown grudges or hate towards these bowlers and batsmen. I remember him giving a LBW of Injamam when the bowl pitched outside leg like half a meter, hit outline, wicket missing by a kilometer yet he didn’t hesitated like he was ready and waiting for the appeal 😂

@@AnandKumar-ty9qstypical Indian. Of course umpires aren't biased right because it's Pakistan? Just mention Steve Bucknor and see kitna bukhaar char gaya 😂😂😂. Funnily enough Bucknor wasn't even against India, he just made a few errors (against all nations). There were others that were actually heavily biased. Ask the WI how hard they had to work to get wickets. They knew that the only way to get batsmen out was to either knock their heads or stumps off. Also guess who called for neutral umpires? Imran Khan.

Unfortunately Moin was dropped after this series, also with that he lost his captaincy, then he made a comeback after 2.5 years in 2003 against South Africa... he never got a consistent run after returning to the national side and finally he was permanently dropped in 2004.

When a team has bowlers like Shoaib, Wasim and Waqar, they don't need anyone else.. and look at Shoaib, no run up at all and still has 128-130 km/hr pace.. and same thing applies to Akram, what a legendary bowler.. and Waqar no words at all, the perfectionist.. i don't know who won the match, obviously it must be NZ as they just needed 2 runs and Harris knows how to play these bowlers..

Pakistan produces the best bowlers period. There can never be another shoaib, Waqar or Wasim. Shaheen and this new crop is following foot steps but i don’t see any other team in sub continent producing such bowlers any time soon.

I mean Bumrah is really really good. He may not have a good looking action but he is world class. Malinga had all the attributes of a Waqar and Wasim, he was a world class reverse swing bowler in the death overs and had fearsome toe crushers just like them. I think there is a bit of nostalgia speaking there.
