I like Redman and Treach seeing Eminem in interviews give them their props. This is in-part why mentioning Eminem being wyte has absolutely nothing to do with his greatness. I’ve seen Eminem recite some of the most seemingly obscure lyrics from MCs back in the 1980s and 90s as if they’re stored in his memory like a computer. Em is a true student of the game and in countless interviews have paid homage by mentioning and given props to the pioneers of the rap game who many of his fans never heard of. The man knows more about rap and the history than most rappers and fans. Eminem is no culture vulture, never cheated the game, and he’s stayed true to his friends from Detroit by sharing the spotlight with them no matter how big of a star he became.

Yeah I heard him say LL Cool J was his favorite rapper growing up. And yes EM def is a human computer , what was so cool was he literally took the majority of his hall of fame speech into the rock and roll hall of Fame and named what had to be over a HUNDRED names of former rappers that paved the way for him a d influenced him in some way and said this night was as much about them than himself because there's only be a couple rappers inducted in history and he said he hoped some of them get inducted one day. And it wasn't just huge names everyone knows , he named names im sure hardly anyone has heard of. I thought that proved just how much em respects the rap history and culture.

Eminem being so big in the rap game, I don't think he would ever realize how powerful it was for him to make a list way back when.
