Nice job organizing! I teach preschool, so I’ll probably keep my books by theme and season. But for the older kids, great idea to simulate real life library 😍

Love this idea! I teach life skills students and they would be able to do the color and the letter. One question do you keep the theme/season books out all year long?

Yes I plan on switching them out for the season and when they aren’t in the display shelf just putting them back with the others!

Hi, I ❤️ your library set up! I am also a first grade teacher of 12 years and am looking for a new organizational method for my library. I know the kids can handle the color and letter method. So, could you please, please walk me through your system as far as how you and where you were at to create your labels in your laptop? Can’t wait 😬💪🏻 Thanks so much

Hey! Glad you like the way they are organized! I bought packs of Avery 8160 labels and went to this link to download the template for them: www.avery.com/templates/8160 I used the pages download because I made them on a Mac computer but they have word available too. Once I downloaded them I clicked on the little boxes in the template and selected "fill" and chose the colors I wanted. Then I added the text letter in white and aligned it to the right side of the box. Then I test printed a page on my printer! Hope this helps!

Once you label each book by alphabet, take a letter, do you go in each letter by author and alphabetize each book like, for example, all the A’s will be completely alphabetical order?

@@raizyzwiebel7021 of course!! I know that they won’t last forever but I printed extras as needed and could also reinforce ones that start to come off with some clear packing tape
