If you are an innocent, the sensible play is to simply kill everyone who *might* be a traitor. Normally that wouldn’t include the detective but we did just have a round where the detective was evil so this play was actually perfect and not RDM

In BotW you are constantly grinding though, everything that isn't a Shrine or Armor is expendable resources you spend to grind and get more expendable resources and very quickly get to a point where you're spending resources to get equal or worse resources.

I logged on to post something similar. I haven't even played BOTW (I don't own consoles), but given how Duncan's channel is full to the brim of him just literally playing the same shit over and over again where half the time he's standing still staring at a crafting window of some type he doesn't have a leg to stand on when it comes to what is or isn't "boring". Hell, if you go by many of his last few "series", I guess his definition of "boring" is "any game I can't just cheat to get what I want right away". Or have Harry basically do all the work.

Conservation of energy innit. The moon lifts the waves on earth, and the energy lost to that means it has to orbit slower, which means it falls further away from the earth. My favourite physics fact (my only physics fact?)

More generally, if a moon takes less than one of it's planet's days to go around that planet (e.g., Phobos around Mars), then it slowly drifts inwards. If it takes longer than a day (the majority of the moons in the Solar System), it slowly drifts outwards.

@@robl1541 wouldn't a slower orbit mean its velocity wouldn't be enough to resist Earth's gravity, and then it would eventually fall closer to Earth? Or is it orbiting slower because it's orbiting farther away, and thus has to travel longer while keeping the same velocity?

I don't even think majora's mask is an upgrade. like maybe in the level design and stuff like that, but the main point of the game giving you only 3 hours to figure everything out is really annoying, then if you don't figure it out you just have to figure it out again. It really shouldn't take as long as it does on a first time playthrough, but they make you rewind time like 20 times when there's only like 4 dungeons. The whole game is just so confusing that you need to use a walkthrough if you don't want to spend ages in it.

So that ghost there is actually from Mother 3, you can find it in Osohe Castle castle with a bunch of other ghosts having a party. It puddle of it underneath itself because the wine simply passes right through it.

I do always find it funny Duncan has only played two of the "least Zelda" Zelda's (not the very least, there are 2 and the CDI games after all, but still), I do hope he tries some others though. Making a decision on Zelda games based on those (much as I personally love them) is kind of like forming a decision about mainline Pokemon games based on Mystery Dungeon, Rangers or Conquest(I also love all of these). Technically you get some elements, but not the overall package.

I played totk for 2 or 3 weeks for a good few hours every day and I havent even done half of the main story yet, its so rich and great to explore. And while the building isnt for everyone, you just do it once and save that vehicle to autobuild (and you dont have to build much in shrines, its mostly basic stuff)

It's Ultimate Chimera Hunt, yes. The gamemode is based on Mother 3's Chimera and Pigmasks and the ghosts are npcs/enemies from Mother 3.

I played Breath of the Wild for the first time this year. I 100% it so the grind for Koroks and outfit upragdes was pretty boring, but aside from that its the most fun I've had with a game in a long time. So much to explore! It got to the point when I finished it I was literally having withdrawals for a week. Im hoping to start TotK soon

I can understand Duncan's thoughts on Breath of the Wild. The game does a pretty bad job at teaching you to have fun, mostly just expecting you to find it yourself. Add to that the fact that most of the story is just background and it doesn't surprise me that some people get alienated by it. That all being said, I really enjoy the game a lot more on my second playthrough over half a decade later.

No, that round the randomat was “silence events and do another randomat” The randomat that secretly triggered was the one that makes the detective have a 50/50 chance of being an impersonator

I sort of get Daltos' take about OoT. I played it a LOT, but not because it was the best thing ever, just because I didn't have anything else. Once I got more games it fell rapidly down the list of beloved games. I don't find any of the big, 3D Zelda games particularly replayable honestly.
