They might be the same guy because in the story thr raider girl throws rocks when the kid wakes up around the fire. This might have been so traumatizing that the kid started to hallucinatr. Being so young he might have thought that rocks created fire and with his mental state so poor he might interpret it that way. Seems completely unnecessary to assign any significance to how they woke him up, he was so afraid of fire he assaulted a raider trying to light a match. It does seem possible that it is the origin of motorcycle guy, but why would rocks need to be involved in the trauma for him to use them as grenades? Did you never play using your imagination as a kid? A short stick is a pistol, rocks are grenades et cetera isn’t exactly a stretch, no need to associate them with fire.

If you wait and listen to the guys inside before they ambush you, one of them keeps asking "where is he? What's going on? Should we do something?" And a second raider keeps telling him to shut up. After the third time, the second guy shoots the first guy right in the face

I mean to be honest it's not far fetched that raiders and post war settlers of the commonwealth know what a motorcycle sounds like because fo3 has working cars that raider gangs have used. I think the player character can't use them because of game limitations. but it's not implausible that if vertibirds still work a motorcycle can as well. but idk, i think it's interesting that Bethesda would've added a new means of transportation into the game besides vertibirds

If you don't talk to Mama in the upper room of the museum he just stays named Dog until later. Both Mama and Nick comment that Dogmeat is known to a lot of people in the Commonwealth, going to help where he's needed. That's no ordinary dog.

Actually, Dogmeat helped both Nick Valentine and Preston Garvey. If you read the lore, Preston used dogmeat to go to Sanctuary and make sure it was live-in ready. Nick used him to track down criminals.

Blame Bethesda for designing such awful hitboxes. One of the things that annoys me the most is when I'm aiming over a piece of cover and my shot bounces off the transparent barrier in front of my face. Really breaks the immersion of an intense firefight where you're trying to present the smallest possible target but have to account for the laziness of the game developers.
