Claudine Longet singing a great song in The Party movie
Lyrics:
Nothing to lose
If we are wise
We're not expecting rainbow-colored skies
Not right away
Nothing to lose
It might be fun
No talk of spending lifetimes in the sun
Although we may
Both you and I have seen what time can do
We'll only hurt ourselves if we build dreams that don't come true
What can we lose
We know the score
Let's wait before we talk of evermore
One day we may
Nothing to lose
But much to gain if love decides to stay
[repeat the last three sections]
Nothing to lose

This was my favorite part of the movie. I enjoyed the fact that the love interest played by Claudine, was not the main focus of the movie, but only hinted about the possibilities as the song suggested.

I agree. Even "Two for the Road" has some tracks edited from the theatrical soundtrack. Or take Bacharach's Butch Cassidy soundtrack...many of the film versions of the songs don't appear on the released LP/CD. Perhaps it was deemed some sort of a bonus during that era to have a different version on the album release. Incentive to go buy a ticket perhaps? Or in our case, the DVD!
