She knew exactly what was going on and played her part wonderfully, what a pro.

Gunston at his best, and a guest who was all-in for it - and even upped the game to match him, using her incredible allure. Gunston still managing his part perfectly, but how could you not be affected by such a great, and intelligent, funny beautiful woman using all her guile and charm ! Garry McDonald, comic genius, thanks for the memories!

I too would be tongue tied and bewildered in her presence. I would melt if I was sitting that close to her as well. You could tell that she enjoyed the effect she had on men. She was incredible!

Aside from being a great actress (with an amazing range, she could do any genre you threw at her) and a very unique beauty, Karen Black is hilarious! I can't even put my finger on whatever it is that she does, but man that ole black magic's got me under her spell!!! She can do nothing but sip tea and ask seemingly innocuous questions "How old are you?" and make me laugh and give me the shivers at the same time. I will always love Karen Black!

She’s beautiful. I saw Easy Rider about 25 years ago and thought back them she was stunning. Hilarious from Norman when she flirts with him, he really is great at portraying himself lacking confidence.

Ah yes, The Little Aussie Bleeder...who could forget the brilliance of Gary Mc Donald. If you want to piss your pants laughing, go from here to his interview with Sally Struthers. It's got to be the greatest interview ever conducted anywhere in the world!

Fair go ha ha, I don't know how Norman manages to stay one step ahead of the star he interviews. Even when they become a little outrages he manages to get them acting outside their comfort zone, and controls it. Master at his craft.

Everything stopped on Tuesday nights in NZ, and every surfer in the country located a box to watch the Norman Gunston Show. The Yanks had that satirical magazine, Australia gave us the little audience bleeder. Genius.

Norman Gunston (Garry Macdonald) is genuinely shy with women (despite having a beautiful model wife). He said in an interview that when Black asked him to kiss her, he genuinely went to pieces and got really nervous, so that's not him acting!
