Claudio doesn’t have time to waste. This run in AEW needs to see him wearing gold, and lots of it. Beating Gresham should be the first milestone for Claudio’s retribution tour.

@@sethxtekken Doesn't matter, he can be ROH Champion and still appear on AEW every week. Claudio is already 41 and in great shape so it makes sense to give him title run. He can't get AEW title cause his teammate Moxley is champion and CM Punk will return someday, so he gotta wait long time for AEW Championship.

Gresham is one of the most gifted wrestlers of our time the guy should hold the ROH title for much longer than a year and beating Claudio would be a major boost for his legacy.

Great professional wrestling match between the Tiger style and the Octopus style, with such a enjoyable display of technique! The only thing that felt weird was suddenly after Brian Cage, who returned to AEW after many months away, and the Gates of Agony appeared on stage, puff, they disappeared, like magic! It was like, what a hell? Nobody said anything about them! Anyway, the match was fantastic, Claudio as the challenger for the ROH World title is a great choice, maybe could be better if he appeared on the ppv as the mysterious opponent, that could create some speculation and more excitement for the match, letting the question in the air, who could be the challenger, Claudio, Johnny Gargano, Killer Kross accompanied by Scarlett Bordeaux, Johny Elite, Brian Cage as a twist, very unlikely but who knows maybe Bryan Danielson? The excitement would be very high, I think almost everyone loves a good surprise! The title match for the ROH World title is going to be absolutely awesome, along with the possible interaction between Lord Regal and Tully Blanchard! 💪🔥🤘

Yeah but I think this time the fans would've been disappointed to see Claudio not bc he's bad or anything just bc he was the mystery opponent last time and we want to see new names and speculate and I think the most would've expected Gargano there and this would be disappointing

As good a champion as Jonathan Gresham has been, I think that Claudio should be ROH World Champion. He (Claudio) has been undervalued and underappreciated for a lot of his career. Winning a big prize like the ROH World Championship would go a way towards rectifying that.

And not only that, but if Claudio wins the ROH World Title & Yuta defends the PURE title, then that would mean all active members of the Blackpool Combat Club (aside from Danielson cause injury) would all currently be champions! Haven't had a full faction be full of gold since The Elite while Omega was AEW World Champion.

@@1kizhun from my standpoint Gresham is more than proven to the ROH, IMPACT and Bloodsport promotions to stand against (or coordinate) with pretty much anybody. He’s proven time and time again that he is one of the best talents of this and last decade, but I also know that Claudio would be a bigger draw so it’s a 50/50 for me.

AEW hasn't had enough time to establish Gresham to non-ROH fans yet. Until that happens, Claudio winning just makes the ROH championship look like an easy belt to waltz in and take. I know Claudio is the bigger name, but I feel like him winning hurts ROH as a brand more than it helps, at least until Tony Khan builds up Gresham enough (beating Lee Moriarty isn't exactly a huge accomplishment).

If you mixed Hornswoggle and Dean Malenko together you get Gresham. Gresham has no business being a World Champion. Claudio has legit star power and needs to win this.

No way in hell Claudio is losing. Gresham has zero momentum and Tony is moving all the ROH titles to his own AEW wrestlers. They’ll have Gresham beat jobbers like Colt Cabana on the way to the Claudio match but make no mistake, Claudio will win.

Oh man, the one the shortest men vs one of the tallest men in wrestling. Can't wait to see it. Tully finally has a top tier talent to manage after FTR.
