The sheer number of special lotions sold for car cleaning reminds me of something an old fisherman told me. I asked him if lures actually worked. He said "Well...they catch a lot of fishermen!"

Thank you for this video, I know of the two retailer's in which you are referring to, there is only one detailer who says that you do not have to discard the clay bar, so what you are saying has a lot of logic, thank you.

Dude I hope you know this you have taught me many things throughout the past few years I now have my own Detail shop 2500 Sq ft and business is thriving almost to the point where my competitors are slowly starting to give up because I offer better quality work at a lesser price.

Congratulations on your business mate. I too have been inspired by Darren to start my own business but my insecurities have sabotaged my efforts in the past. People here in Oz 🇦🇺 are not as loyal to their cars like you guys over there. Because of your comment, I just might give it another crack. Thanks for the inspiration 🏆

@@denisef1153 Hello. I did but it didn't last long as I couldn't charge enough for the work I did. I detailed a car for 4 days and removed seats and carpets etc. I have OCD in a slight way but it really comes out like that. I wish I had the discipline to know when it was time to just stop.

I Clayed my car. Dropped the clay twice. Threw it out like I was told. Then one day as I’m folding the clay and molding it to get a fresh area, I thought “why can stuff remain embedded in the clay but you can’t drop it. Next time I dropped it I just rinsed it. Just didn’t make sense to me.

Common statement from high school girls: "Been there done that." Same = clay bar. Hand steamer, 20$ 30$, no closer than 3 inches from the paint and steam and wipe out. Works great on glass.

I don't think the pattern has anything to do with the common advice in point #3. I think it's more because circular scratches are usually more noticeable with most light sources.

After the fallout remover is applied can it be used as a clay bar lubricant to save time?

I used iron remover as a lubricant. Worked wonders! Just wear gloves. I didn’t and got a chemical burn. Had to seek medical attention.

Buffing machines go in a circle motion so people saying the pattern matters is stupid and I bet they finish off with a machine

Waxing - circular motions are used All else is up and down or side to side. Depends on what your doing.

I have diffrent question I bought a used car that was 2 years old it was in great shape not perfect paint wise but really good I clayed like 2 3 years sho I applied wax intake care the car I wah often use drying aid I wax use sealint care still decent shape hoe often can clay before it's not good for clear coat ? Second unam thinking of getting polishet to co.pund polish paint lightly I will probley not apply any presure see what does but was thinking its large investment make I want cordless polisher for something I am gonna use once a year but I dont trust any detail shops around me to do I feel I'll take better care my car then they will

sure the clay bar will induce some miring, a good smart experienced detailer will try to minimize this. you kinda of lost me, sorry , but I don't remember you talking about applying a fallout/ferris spray prior. so to be clear, you really should be claying the back of the vehicle, and the lower half of the vehicle. not the hood, that you are scratching up with those dangerous bracelets, soon as I saw that...I ended the video.......
