@@ChildhoodHobbies it encourages more equal drying. But it is not primarily used. Stuff that is used instead of sand is Grog. Grog is fired ground clay.

I don't use the same cloth always. Any waste cloth if available can be use.

Cloth is not specific any kind of cloth can be use. But don't any waterproof cloth like parachute.

I brought soil from my garden. Add water so much that all the clay dissolves in it and forms a flowing substance, then remove the water through a sieve. Keep the soil that comes out of the sieve for some time. When the water comes to the top and the soil sits down in the water, then remove the excess water. And put the creamy mixture of this soil in a cloth and hang it somewhere for a few hours, when you feel that the soil is a bit hard, then take it out and use it.
