this story line is so true and down to earth. Most pop songs are about happiness or breaking up with your ex, but this song is about a teenage mother trying to bring up her baby and keep him safe whilst she tries to bring a bit of money in by pole dancing and entertaining men at a pub. The dad's not there and she's trying to bring up her child so he can have a nice life unlike hers. It's one of those songs that you have to really listen to the lyrics to actually know what the song's about. It's sad but it has a great tune. My favourite song at the moment.

I find this song is especially beautiful because i was dumped in front of an adoption center or whatever when i was only a few month old. And this song is exactly what i believe and hope what was going through my blood mothers mind when she did it. "Your life aint going to be nothing like my life, i'm going to do what i got to do". I ended up in a great family in Iceland and it's all good :) Sorry if this isn't important but i just had to write this here because i've been thinking about this for a while now.

I never met my mum because she died while she was giving me birth. When my older sister learned about that she blamed me, she said it was my fault that our mum is dead. We still have our dad who loves us very much but I sometimes believe it is my fault that she is dead. Sometimes I imagine how my life would be if I had a mum.
