Wow! I recently replaced my Breville Barista and I just ran the cleaning cycle for the first time. NO water out of the portafilter !! I thought something was very wrong because it still says in the new manual that water will flow out through the portafilter.(Barista Express BES870XL/A). Now watching your video, I realize that it did what your video showed. Thank you!!! Very helpful channel !

Easy enough. I have the Breville and a Delonghi Dedica. Breville is much easier and simpler to descale. Great video- keep up the good work.

Our coffee machine's descaling light never turned off after descaling sir and espresso didnt come out during brewing process but the pressure is high. Can somebody help me?

When I do my cleaning cycle it comes through the portofilta, and yes I have the rubber seal in.

In the manual it says 3 beeps when it’s done but I’m only hearing 2. Guess it’s not that big a deal.

Nowhere in the instructions from the machine does it say that no water will be coming through the Porta filter basket. I read something on Reddit that told me that the water will be coming through the backflow and not through the Porta filter. I guess there was a change in the little rubber gasket and it does not have a hole in it and Breville has not updated their instructions so I thought I had a problematic machine and returned it and got a new one. They really need to update their instructions. But it looks like you have already figured that out yourself also.

Use the BWT filter pitcher and you don’t have to clean or descale as often.

Ask per instructions from breville: use the 1 shot dual wall filter for the clean me cycle. You will hear 2 beeps at the end. The manual instructions for this machine are pretty useless, thank you for showing how to do this.

I think you are cleaning your machine too often. As you know, the machine blinks the "clean me" light every time you have pulled 200 shots. However, in your videos you often pull lots of water-only shots to heat up the group head. The machine counts these too, since it doesn't know that you have no coffee in there, so it has to assume they are real shots. In reality, only shots with actual coffee should be counted.
