I purchased single sided quilters tape by mistake. I now use it to wrap around the end of the two seams I want to join. Doesn’t always work but it has helped most of the time to stop one side sliding g away from the other..

It's interesting because the flip finish is specifically called out in the manual for the serger at work and it does work on that one. But that one allows you to pull the threads. My home one doesn't let you pull the threads at all and it's much more difficult to do the flip finish. I mostly weave in with a needle because I don't often have a second machine set up.

Wait you have a serger at work? Whats it used for? I used to have a lot more trouble flipping so it probably is a lot harder on some machines.

@@SewSewLive It's in our makerspace. We have a textile area with regular machines, embroidery machines, a serger, and knitting and crochet classes.

It’s 9:30 am here in some parts of the Europe, 10 hours after your live. I’m copying a pants pattern for a knit and your video comes as if I asked for. (Careful what you wish for, it might come true 😂). I was awake last night but my husband was sleeping so… Well, I will be live on Friday because I want to learn to make knit binding without an attachment on the cover machine. Either my husband moves out I’ll move. 😂😂😂😂 Thanks a lot for all your work. I have a not sewing related question: if I don’t skip the commercials in a video, does it help in any way? I have no idea.

😂😂😂 maybe some headphones to save the marriage?? I don’t want that on my shoulders! I don’t mind if you skip ads-I really don’t know how much of an impact it makes. I understand it interrupts the flow!
