I’m a respiratory therapist and a sleep technician and I honestly can’t help but believe your night sweats could be linked to obstructive sleep apnea. I especially say this because of your previous video about mouth taping. I recommend possibly looking into a sleep study or at least discussing with your doctor your symptoms. I know this is unasked for advice but I just thought to throw it out there Love these types of videos btw. I always feel motivated to start cleaning ASAP! Haha

Nikki - girl. Get one of those sponges with the soap tank on it. 3 tablespoons of Thieves dish soap, 2 capfuls of thieves cleaning concentrate - fill the rest with distilled or purified water and you’ve got the mother of cleaning brushes ❤️

You inspired me to get a diffuser and my parents got me one fore Christmas!!! I was sooo excited and i use it all the time. It had improved my moods alot more. Thanks for introducing me to it!!

Wait, you really should be bleaching the underside of that bathtub. You could always use the Thieves to remove it so you know you aren’t just bleaching it away and then spray to disinfect. I’ve developed a bad allergy to mold and thus I can tell you that I “know” it’s still around when it was only rinsed off with a natural cleaner. You’ve got to find the balance of using natural cleaners and ones that truly disinfect. I know we like to think natural cleaners are doing a good job a disinfecting but they really aren’t. Cleaning and disinfecting are two different things.

Hi Nikki! I used to be a night sweater too. Try Progessence plus from young living. Pop a roller on top and roll it on the inner arms & sides of neck before bed. Completely stopped my sweating! Also- endoflex is another good oil to use. It helps support the thyroid.

My husband has night sweats, too. We picked up a waterproof mattress cover from target when we recently got a new mattress and it has totally saved our mattress. I thought it would be crinkly and hard to sleep on but we don’t even notice it’s there. To clean it between changing the sheets I spray it with thieves cleaner and let it air dry a few hours then wipe it down or if I’m in a hurry I just wipe it down with the thieves cleaner and put the sheets back on.

If you haven’t tried it before, I recommend tying a bathroom scrub with your thieves cleaner! It works well for grout, around sink/shower drains & toilet: 1 cap full thieves, unscented Castile soap, & baking soda. (Measurements vary but I just add the about soap I need & baking soda until I becomes a paste) ❤️ my irreplaceable Thieves cleaner!

Hello. I have the exact same Saatva mattress. I love it. I did add a 2 inch latex topper I got from Amazon. It makes the bed so luxurious and Comfy. My husband is a night sweater as well but he hasn't had an episode ever since we got the mattress and topper. My home flooded in Houston with Hurricane Harvey last year and I had the real firm Saatva that I had to throw away so this softer one is way more comfortable. I tell everyone about these mattresses they are amazing. I only get the mattress and no box spring because my husband builds these real sturdy platform beds. Your puppy is so cute bu the way. 😀

Literally just deep cleaned my entire bathroom (with plant based cleaner) and sat down and found this! I try to use natural cleaners too, especially since I don't want my small pets to be irritated by anything I've used near them.

There are differing opinions about that... but YL says they’re safe around animals and I have never had a problem at ALL with oils/pups:)

Be careful with citrus oils(and some others) around cats, they can't process the oils like we can, it builds up in their systems over time. I only diffuse oils in a closed off room from the cats to be on the safer side or use roll ons.

My mom has cats and dogs, I only have dogs but none of our pets have ever had a reaction to essential oils. We only use the Young Living brand though so I can’t speak for every brand. We’ve been using young Living for years with no problems.

It depends on what studies you look at... 🤷🏻♀️ kind of like vitamins... at least in my opinion! YL claims to be safe for pets.... Also just so you know, my animals have had no reactions to any of the oils👍🏻🙏🏻

I live in an efficiency apartment, I have a shower/tub combo thing. I hardly ever take a bath though, probably once in the past 8 years. But I want to try bath bombs. I did some cleaning today. I vacuumed under the computer table, and I made my bed, put away some stuff in my bedroom area, and I started my dishes, they are soaking. I didn't get to laundry though. TMI, I have problems with drooling. I've been making my bed everyday.

I’m always curious about what essential oils are safe for dogs? Also, I only want to use soy candles since I know regular candles are toxic for us and our pets. But I’m not sure what I should do because I got a bunch of candles for Christmas and I feel guilty not to use them because they were gifts.

I haven’t been no... because the research and results are so mixed and YL claims to be safe for pups...+ I’ve had ZERO issues with the oils and the dogs:)

Hey Nikki, I know you love essential oils and I’m just wondering what your opinion is on using them around toddlers; my sister has twin boys 14 months old and is hesitant to buy a diffuser based on the sage website. Is this something you’ve debated during your adoption journey and is there certain oils which are safe to diffuse around toddlers? Thank you! Naomi Latimer I am friends with a lady who is a foster and adoptive mama and she sells Young Living. She even uses the oils on her kids and not just in a diffuser. You can rub different oils on different parts of your body to heal certain things. Nikki isn’t allowed to say that anymore like she used to bc oils aren’t regulated by the FDA and she’s a distributor. But she used to make videos with oils in roller balls and using them for healing purposes on her body not just in a diffuser.

There are plenty of oils not safe to diffuse around children or even adults. There are even oils that can harm or kill children from either intential use or accidental ingestion, or exposure. With children simmer pots of herbs and hydrosols can be a safer alternative. Please do not take safety advice from someone selling you that item. I've been a essential oil user and herbalist for twenty years, keep up with continuing education and the things that come out of folks mouths about oils is horrifying. ALL herbs have side effects. Would you just let your toddlers eat or apply any herb they wanted especially in a super consentrated form to themselves? Of course not. However you may give a toddler a nice cup of mint tea from your garden and that's great and can be helpful.
