It took a while for me to finally see the movie. I remember visiting some random mall in Florida and a vendor was selling model kits. That was the first time I saw the Wing Zero Custom and had zero clue what the hell was going on and loving it anyways.

I understand why people like the EW version of Wing Zero. However, juxtaposed to the Epyon, which symbolically is Revelation's 666 Beast, I find the original design for Wing Zero to be more suitable. The original design gives off both Alpha and Omega, the Archangel and the Angel of Death.

@@IsaacIVMarc Stand-alone I much prefer the EW version. As it nails the archangel aesthetic to the perfection. OG Zero works best as foil to Epyon like you said. Stand-alone it's not even close.

Best angel wing design in all of anime

I have to disagree....In Gundam Breaker 3, I actually created the perfect ultimate gundam. A true monster MS that I dubbed the Ultra Gundam. Shares parts with the Freedom Gundam, Infinite Justice, Tallgeese III, and the Strike Noir with Wing Gundam's Buster Rifle. But as of an MS that isn't a collaboration of different mobile suits, it all depends on the MS and the pilot whos piloting it. Could Wing Zero piloted by Heero Huy truly take on Kira Yamato and the Freedom Gundam or Strike Freedom Gundam? Its truly a toss up to be honest.

I have 8 episodes left of 00. I've been watching Gundams in their release order(mostly) and man SEED was so bad, now it feels weird when there aren't 10 flashbacks per episode.

00 Gundam's theme is used only in that one scene. Kinda sad they changed it.

I borrowed the sound effects from elsewhere yeah. It's quite hard to find the correct sound effects in isolation. Always someone talking or other effects overlapping.

That was pretty dope. I still prefer this one just on spectacle.

Hero, fought wufei and slammed down into the atmosphere. My question is how we went from colony busting rifle to "perhaps on a good day will melt a door". The waltz version of wing zero is weak as fck.

@@trazyntheinfinite9895 The buster rifles have variable power outputs. The power can be adjusted depending on the situation. Even in the show we've seen Wing Zero fire weaker shots to destroy mobile suits, and more power to destroy colonies. The reason it took 3 shots on the bunker was that he wasn't using the rifles full power. If he did everyone inside and everything wiped out and leveled. Going by the Manga "Glory of Losers" when the Wing Gundam is in the Sanc Kingdom and gets its "Incomplete" special armament. A single shot from the Wing Gundams Buster rifle was enough to eclipse mountains, and apparently break through the damn stratosphere. Made the Satellite canon look like a toy when you look at them side by side.

Remember the battle with Wufei went on longer than what we see. And the entire time Heero was playing defense and took some pretty decent damage. But most of the damage came from not entering the atmosphere properly and then sinking to the bottom of the ocean. Also there were a few events in the story that actually take place between the end of the Libra battle and the start of Endless Waltz. Though they side manga's that fill in the gap. The Wing Zero could have realistically been about 80% in its current condition since after those events, is when they planned to launch the suits into the sun. Then we don't know how far Wing Zero sunk..... we've seen other show's Gundams and mobile suits don't normally go too deep as pressures start messing with the suits. But Wing Suits don't really seem to care about things "Normal" Suits do in most cases. It could have sunken pretty deep and the pressures probably did a lot of structural damage as well. Going from intense heat of the atmosphere to suddenly freezing temperatures of the cold deep depths would put strain on anything. Then immediately flying out against all of that pressure, and firing a rifle which HALF Of it (A single buster rifle) In itself is enough to tear most mobile suits apart. Show's just how sturdy the Wing Zero itself was. Even after that the cockpit and main frame were still in tact so it could certainly still be repaired and rebuilt.... Which if you know the Frozen Teardrop Novel does happen.

@@zurkeydurkey Its no problem. I've been a huge Wing fan since I saw it as a child, its what got me into Gundam and Anime as a whole. So I always go every now and again looking for new info/data and rewatching to learn things I may have missed. The Frozen Teardrop Novel is kinda.... eh.... Some people love it, some people hate it. There were amazing concepts and plots in the story, but some decisions made with some characters that kinda rubbed people the wrong way. Mainly how some characters from the main story we know were handled. But one common factor is the Novels gundams are CRAAAAAAAACKED. There's even like Pro and "Anti" Turn-A stuff in it as well. As for the Manga's that fill in the gap between The end of the war and the Endless Waltz movie... They are extremely difficult to find sadly. Especially this day in age, and usually if you find any images/scans its all the raw content or not high resolution. There's even a manga with "Mass Produced" Variations of the main Gundams and a completely different Cast called "Tiels Impulse." There's a prequel set thats called "Episode Zero" Which had all of the characters back stories. But, if you want that, luckily those backstories are covered in the "Glory of Losers Manga". "Glory of Losers" is basically a Re-Telling of the Gundam Wing Anime/original Manga. It follows the same story, but its a bit more fleshed out, better paced and adds some new details and changes some minor courses of actions. As well as gives redesigns and buff's to some Gundams and grunt suits. The Manga between Libra and Endless Waltz are called "Blind Target, Ground Zero" and "Battlefield of Pacifists." Which the latter takes place probably just weeks/days before the events of Endless Waltz and has some actual foreshadowing to it with some characters. There is also a "Side Story" that is basically Gundam Wing's Equivalent of the "ASTRAY" Series from Gundam Seed. Its called "Last Outpost! (G-Unit)" Which follows the story of two completely different protagonists and Gundams not seen in the main story or Anime. The story also has the inspiration for what would become the "Trans-Am" System in Gundam 00. And one of the last main suits, canonically has power output somehow higher or equal to the Turn-A's. But overall finding all of it is quite difficult.... Its honestly probably easier to look up info on the stories and get general synopsis than finding them. 😔

Believe it or not, this new appearance is not an upgrade but a retcon. According to the production staff, in the lore for Endless Waltz the gundams always looked the way they did in the movie. In my own head canon, the gundams were upgraded on thier way to be "destroyed" because they weren't really going to be destroyed. It was just a cover story for them being put into storage to prevent people from looking for them.

Yeah, not easy finding the right sound effects so I went as close as I could..

The mobilesuits are pressurised and have oxygen flowing. It's just smarter to keep the full space suite on incase there is serious breach. Reckless as all hell but cool to look at.

Because Gundam Wing is a trash fire, they didn't really care as long as it looks nice for the chuunibyou and fujoshi in the audience.

Gundam Wing is one of the single most overrated series of all time. It's an absolute trash fire and yet it gets way more attention than far better Gundam series.

It gets attention because it’s good and people like it. You can stay angry and deny it, but it remains ever true.

Someone who doesn't like the dub of Wing? Yeah I get that it's very silly sounding sometimes but it honestly adds to the experience. "I'll kill you" or "I WILL SURVIVE" doesn't hit as hard in Japanese.

Firstly most if not allJapanese VA's are annoyingly over the top and over exaggerated in near all their lines. They also have extremely similar verbal cadence during certain scenes but very specifically during tense super serious moments or during fight scenes. Lastly Japanese is a ridiculous sounding language. There are plenty of good dubs and heaps of shit dubs too.... But all Japanese voice tracks are ultra garbage.
