My early morning time is the most precious - the calm and quiet is very addictive. If I am spending time with my daughter then it's lunch time. We chit chat a lot then. With 2 school going kids and one pre schooler, breakfast is my favourite meal. Cos my crazy early morning routine is done, everyone is fed and have left for the day and my youngest sleeping, breakfast is the meal i look forward to do. All this set aside, ur video was amazing. Hello swati,I always wait for your videos and never miss them.your way of describing things is really amazing. one thing I want to ask that my 5yrs old son always demands tv or mobile while having his meals.He shouts if I shut down the tv...plz suggest any idea to make him eat without gadgets.

Hi Namita, so tell you my story, Rutvi ate every meal with gadget till she turned 3.5. and one day I decided to end it. I started with breakfast as kids are quite hungry at that time. I struggled for 1 week but slowly she started accepting. Then I followed the same for other 2 major meals. Then I gradually stopped feeding her to engage her with food. As much I understand, Kids at this age are least interested in food so we give screens. But they are most pliable at this age and our little effort each day, every day brings huge change in them gradually. Its not changing overnight but Be at it and in 1 month or so you will see change. :)

Hey swati, I admire u a lot for ur home management skills...just one question how do u make ur kids sleep in the afternoon, my 5 yr old son become very angry and fussy when I ask him for afternoon nap....which is really needed such hot season. it wud be great help if u could suggest some ideas , so that he sleeps happily in afternoon as well..thanks.

Hi Ankeeta, thanks for writing. Afternoon sleep for my kids has become a habit since I have always followed a strict routine with them. With school they wake up early and get tired to sleep in noon. But as I always say, every kid is different and so are their needs. Many kids don’t take naps at all and only take long sleep at night. I would suggest you try create or check the sleep pattern of you son. Like wake him early to see if he sleep at noon or don’t give him noon nap and see if he sleeps early at night. Study says 10-11 hrs of sleep at this age also keeps kid healthy & happy. Hope this will help.😊
