On the knives if you drop them in some water it will soften the acrylic paint. For oil base your turbinoid stuff will soften. Then it scrapes off easier. You could also use a paint stripper. Thanks for posting.

I struggle with the fact that’s it not always a great income month to month. Trying to save money for a house at 23 whilst trying to make art my career is difficult. In regards to cleaning the pallet knives witg the window scraper; awesome idea. It works well. 😁 May I suggest what I also do beforehand. I soak them in hot water for 20 mins. Ready to easily peel with the scraper then.

Wonderful to see the tidying up. Being pregnant can definitely add to the urge to clean up and "nest". All 3 pregnancies had me scrubbing and decluttering! Best to you and your growing family!

Katie, when you clean, you clean, congrats on both the pg news and the clean-up. I love to see large plants in an art studio because the plants help by absorbing the toxins in the air.

love your studio; been following you & videos for some time now. love all the plants in your studio, it makes it so cheery to be there! and ... first time i saw that you’re pregnant - congratulations!! 👏😊🎉❤️ i’m still working on finding the right style for me, so i’m trying lots of different techniques. i use acrylics & mostly do abstracts. recently i started playing with fluid acrylics & sort of like it but not getting rid of my heavy body acrylics just yet. 🧐🤪🤣. keep creating the videos - love them!! 😊🤗

Hack for palette knives and brushes that have left over acrylic paint. Soak them in 70% rubbing alcohol for a few minutes. Then wash them with soap and water. It'll save your fingers from the window scraper.

Katie....soak your palette knives I. Alcohol overnight, and then scrape the paint. Sooooo much easier when the paint has softened. And it will ALL come off. Want that dried acrylic paint off your counter? Spread cheap hand sanitizer all over it, wait a few minutes and use a plastic scraper to get it right off. Wipe it down with alcohol in a spray bottle. Congrats on that baby! Babies are the best!! ❤️👶🏻🎨

I clean my palette knives with...other palette knives; It's just as effective as using a blade, and safer. A plastic putty knife/paint scraper also works, but not as well.

ah. You're obviously going through the "nesting" stage as we call it! Take full advantage of it while it lasts. Once the baby gets here, you may not have much time for keeping things in order! Especially once they start crawling and toodling around :)
