couple of notes before you comment✨ - my birds don’t spend all their time in this one corner. they get plenty of sun & outside time when it’s not sweltering outside. - my fan wasn’t on when my birds were out? idk how I didn’t make this clear but I was turning on my air conditioner- not my fan. - the millet was only in there so they could get use to it! They DIDNT even touch it in the end so of course it’s gone, I’m not constantly keeping millet in their cage I 100% know it’s a treat. - I’m not sure where everyone is getting this impression but I’ve mentioned it in this video & many others; their main diet is natural pellets!! I sprinkle a variety of seed and other pellets over the top & they are fed veggies every morning. They are NOT on an all seed diet??
@arianavail3 жыл бұрын
It really upsets me that you even had to comment this. I literally watched your video in the background while cleaning and didn’t even look deeply at it and knew you were a good bird owner and that you clearly cared about your bird babies. Your cage is a GREAT size - and they’re not even in it all day Your setup is BEAUTIFUL and also somehow matches your room? Okay pop off You have only natural perches and your toys don’t even have colors in them - which likely means they’re BETTER for the birds than the colorful ones. Not to mention that you clearly love them and care so deeply about them. I’m going back to rewatch the video now because you deserve the praise and not death threats.

You should use apple cider vinegar for cleaning the cage. It's natural and harmless. The birbs should also sunbathe outdoors, it's good for their health.
@fatimaalaa26593 жыл бұрын
You can actually add a little bit of vinegar in your water to act as a disinfectant as it is safe for birds, and don't worry as long as you keep the windows open the smell doesn't linger for more than an hour. Hope this helps :)

just. stop. with. the. hate. comments. you should NEVER commently negatively on something unless you are certain thats how it is and that is a bad thing, and ALWAYS make sure to watch the whole video and not just get to the word "...seeds" and go straight to the comments. if you really got to know shelly and her birds more, you'd probably like them and find that she takes amazing care of emma and charlie + educates others based on her knowledge and experience. appreciate it.
@sierrarain82583 жыл бұрын
I totally see where you’re coming from, however, sometimes people honestly don’t know that an all seed diet is bad for birds, and it’s a lot better to point that out that it’s bad if you aren’t sure. A lot of it isn’t meant to be aggressive whatsoever. Birds are one of the most mistreated animal and it’s so much more safe to point out that an all seed diet is bad.

I only put my babies in the cage in sleep time and when we go to my other house. Sadly this made my first baby fly away with their species. So now (and for the weather) I have them in my living room. You can get a big bag of millet where I live for $8.00 I stock up on it . My birds were never pellet trained and I'm not gonna stave them . They get seed and they get it daily along with veggies and fruit . All my birds were always healthy with vet checks saying so lol. If your bird came pellet trained though that's great or if the transition to pellets was successful . But for me it was a complete fail, my conures weren't having it nor were my budgies . In the 90s I had finches budgies and cocktails and back then we didn't have the internet and I was never told about pellets . I never lost a bird to fatty liver all my birds were on seed diets . My finch was with me 10 years before he passed away of old age I was 12 when I got him 23 when he died . My cockatiel was with my for a long time too before he also died of old age . My budgies I had for several years before I had to rehome them and they too were healthy birds. Seeds or pellets or a mix of both in my opinion it's ok either way it's a personal choice and there's no wrong one in my opinion.. Your birds are adorable btw
@alexandraocean67563 жыл бұрын
I get hate from some people for feeding seed but I have a budgie, 2 conures and had a Sennie that completely refused pellet and I tried about 4 different brands over a bloody year! They’re super healthy and get their calcium, greens, fruit and veg every day and I’ve had no problems whatsoever! Sometimes it works… sometimes it doesn’t 😅
