Got the ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight.
Good: cleans baffles 2-3 hours
Bad: you have to restart it every 3 minutes :/
$34.99 & I used a 20% off coupon
I used a mix of Purple Power degreaser from autozone ($7) & water.
50/50 mix
Next time I'll try using the dip method:
White vinegar & hydrogen peroxide 50/50 mix

Got an ultrasonic cleaner from Amazon about $40. Has a 30 min timer. Ran it twice for an hour and did a great job on my specter 2 baffles. I used vinager and peroxide since its what I had available and it works really well. Will try the purple stuff next time to compare. Thanks for the video.

Hope you disposed of the lead chemical when you were done. It's extremely toxic and carcinogenic, waste dumps wont even take it.

Get you a tube of "Bore Butter" and smear a good layer on all your baffles and tube sleeves before putting it back together and the next time you clean it, the majority of that crap will wipe right off. I do this to my integrally suppressed 10-22 baffles along with my Tactical Solutions Axiom can and works great.

Quick question: Are you suppose to take the o-rings off on the Sparrow before using the ultrasonic? Thanks

I've got access to an industrial powered ultrasonic cleaner. And honestly not that impressed with the cleaning abilities. I've found it's best to do it the old fashioned way. With the sparrow use a nickel to scrape the clam shells. The coin is softer than the shells so it won't damage or scratch. I picked up a set of dental picks from the flea market and find the ones that work best. I like a small spoon looking one that you just gouge out the led build up on the mono-core. It takes time and patients but my sparrow looks brand spanking new! And I full auto the shit out of that bad boy! If you chip at the lead you'll get it to break off just use tools that have an edge but not really sharp. So you won't damage the can. And wear gloves!!! If your using a dremel tool use a respirator!!! You'll fling lead and shit all over the place. And clean up your work area pretty good!

ShooterSD72 thanks, I used to clean them with random little tools but i was impressed when I had mine cleaned by an industrial cleaner in 10 minutes. The sparrow was so fowled up that I couldnt even pit it back in the tube. This lil fella gets close just 32X slower lol

I'm fixing to order my first silencer... I will primarily shooting with a 10/22 and a buckmark (looking into getting a CMMG conversion for my AR as well)... which of those two silencers do you like the best and why?

I've heard that a tumbler can work on steel rimfire suppressor baffles as well. Has anyone tried using one? An ultrasonic cleaner at least sounds way cooler and more high tech than a tumbler does. I am about to buy a rimfire can and would prefer to go with an ultrasonic cleaner as long as it's reasonably effective.

I noticed that a lot of the ultrasonic cleaners don’t have very long timers on them. Is there a good recommended one that has a longer timer setting?

454pakr it was a tad crowded but if I would've left it longer they would've gotten clean. My plan was to leave them longer unattended but this unit makes me baby sit them

If they are all metal parts with no rubber or plastic you could soak them in this===> www.autozone.com/fuel-and-engine-cleaners-additives/carburetor-cleaner/berryman-chem-dip-carburetor-and-parts-cleaner/139313_0_0/ then just rinse them with hot water and dry.

I thought if it eats all the crud out of a aluminum carburetor it would work great on them.
