How do you get that brake line off of the housing? I looked around on mine one day because I wanted to check out the guts, but the line prevented me from full disassembly.

What did you use to clean the rollers with. I've heard not to use brake cleaner

Just the shim mod? I just ordered a Coop 45 Shim Kit for my 700, found out this weekend i want a little more rpm while churning mud with my 27's. Ive been told to go 2mm but youre saying the 1.5mm may be a little too much?

Great video!! Did you just clean the outside of your secondary clutch? If you took it off, how did you break the bolt?
@SuperKax35 жыл бұрын
Wow that should wheelie. Have a 700 kodiak stock and it comes up in low if I sit way back. 3-5km/h then crack on it. Be well
@edwardabrahamiii374216 күн бұрын
Put 1.5 lug tires outback or 1.75 lugs outback an 1.25 tires in front and it'll pop wheelies way easier trust me I've done that on a yamaha 700
@robertpalmer17684 жыл бұрын
Hello I'm wondering if you are able to wheelie I have a 2015 stock 500axi full auto and I can't get it to wheelie. What would you recommend for mods

Can I get away with just the clutch shim or do I need to do the coop clutch mod where I have it machined? Y 09 750axi Thanks for the video.

After using those two 8mm bolts to loosen the belt up do you just remove them? Do they need to be taken back out before reinstalling the belt? Please help
@dukeboyzpowersports5 жыл бұрын
DoubleShok leave them in. You will need them in to get the belt back on. Just make sure you take them out before you put the clutch cover back on. Thanks for watching again 👍👍

@@dukeboyzpowersports Thanks so much. one more question. I noticed when I'm going down hills now my engine brake used to slow me down but now it breaks free and rolls on its own. is that have something to do with a worn belt? my bike is a 2006 King quad 700 I don't think the belt has ever been replaced and it has 2,200 miles.

Great video. What kind of spray cleaner did you use? I couldn’t read the can.

How did the 1.5mm shim effect your top speed? Very curious!! Thank you
@dukeboyzpowersports4 жыл бұрын
didn't really effect the top speed to much. It did how ever effect the engine breaking by slowing the quad to basically a stop when i was going down a hill. thanks for watching and happy trails.

What snorkel kit do you have? And what relocation kit do you have on the Kingquad?

I made my own snorkel kit and I bought the risers from snorkel your atv. I bought my rad relocation kit from Rubberdown customs. Here’s there link www.rubberdowncustoms.ca/. Thanks for watching and happy trails 👍👍

Hi! Thank You for the video! Did You cleaned the secondary clutch too? If i want to clean it i sould get it out too? Thank You!

Andrei cud I only cleaned the primary. I did scuff up the faces on the secondary. You can clean the secondary, it’s a lot harder that the primary. There really isn’t any videos of it on KZfaq. Maybe I’ll make a video lol. Thanks for watching 👍👍
@dukeboyzpowersports5 жыл бұрын
Andrei cud I found a video on how to clean the secondary. It’s a Yamaha secondary, but it very close to the kingquad kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pcuDdKWl2cfLipc.html

Why do you think I can’t I cant speed past 10mph after I go into some water?
@dukeboyzpowersports2 жыл бұрын
Water in your clutch, if it’s snorkelled you may have a leak somewhere or the clutch case could be leaking.

I have a 2005 king quad 700. My low gear has like a limiter on it around 9mph... sounds like when you’re maxed out in reverse. Any idea what it could be?
@dukeboyzpowersports3 жыл бұрын
I know low does have a rev limiter, but you should be able to go faster than 9 mph. Not sure what it could be. Could be your belt or could be your wet clutch. How fast does your quad go in high?

Not to sure what the problem is, I even googled it and nothing came up. The only things I can think of is the belt needs to be changed or the clutch was full of water and the belt was slipping. Where you in water when this happen?
@chrisj5.03 жыл бұрын
@@dukeboyzpowersports nope I was in my backyard lol. Some people are saying my wet clutch might be going b but I don’t understand how my high gear wouldn’t be affected

In the video minute 10:46 do I use a torque wrench to tighten this Bolt if so which is the pound torque I use and do I put lock tight thank you very much your video was helpful my clutch is perfectly clean now
@dukeboyzpowersports5 жыл бұрын
Marc Abran thanks for watching and I appreciate the positive feedback. The torque spec on the primary and secondary clutch bolts are 79.5 ft/p. I usually don’t use a torque wrench and torque it to nicmac pounds lol. I’ve never used locktite either, but I can’t see a problem with using blue locktite. I’m not a certified mechanic in anyway, but really like figuring out problems and fixing them. Thanks again for watching.

How did the 1.5 shim work out? I got a 07 king 450 and thinking about cleaning mine, and maybe the shim, any update pointers? Thanks
@dukeboyzpowersports5 жыл бұрын
Indian Creek it works a little to well. It just spins the tires. I’m going to try 1.2 and hopefully it will get some better traction lol. Also I find low gear is a little to low, it will stop me when I’m going down a hill. Thanks for watching 👍👍

OK. So, how was the aftermath of that MOD?
@dukeboyzpowersports5 жыл бұрын
when i put the bigger tires on, i found that low gear would rev out way more than i wanted and high gear had no real bottom end. when i put the shims in it bought the gearing back to almost normal lol. low is still little to low, it will actually stop on a steep decline. i'm going to change it to 1.2 or 1.3mm shim. i guess little bit of the shim mod will have to do with your riding style. thanks for watching
@jaybourbon8608 Жыл бұрын
@@dukeboyzpowersports What size tires did you go with before and after the mod? I'm running 26"amd don't feel like the 1.5mm is enough. Maybe your belt was worn and slipping a bit? Mine grabs hard. Better them before but still feel like it needs more.
@dukeboyzpowersports Жыл бұрын
@@jaybourbon8608 I was running a 27 inch tire, but with the lug it was 28. I did have 1.5mm shim, but changed to 1.2mm because when I was going down hills it was stopping me and I’d have to use the throttle which sometimes wasn’t a good idea. If your looking for more bottom end look into the coop mod, I’ve heard good things about it.
@jaybourbon8608 Жыл бұрын
@@dukeboyzpowersports Yeah coop mod is great just dont want to send my clutch out and have the downtime. It's on my to do list. My buddy said just do a 2019+ KQ oem spring and 19g rollers with the 1.5 shim and it's amazing.

I noticed my 700 doesn't slow me down anymore going down hills. The belt seems to let loose and i start coasting and have to use my brakes more as of before my engine would slow me down. Any ideas why this is happening all of a sudden?
