1. soak shoe in warm water for dirt to soften and fall off 2. Clean remaining dirt with brush and cleaning solution 3. Clean laces 4. Let air dry Way more simple and less time consuming

Honestly when it comes to leather shoes you dont need much to clean them, i use a cheap basic shoe cleaner from walmart and my shoes still look new even though they get super dirty on a weekly basis
