If I may be honest, cars can no longer be admitted with the knowledge we now have. The largest source of microplastic pollution in the UK - tire wear. Pollution from tire wear 1,000 times worse than exhaust emissions. Some of these chemicals are considered endocrine disruptors-chemicals that interfere with normal hormone function, even contributing to weight gain. Flame retardants may interfere with brain development in fetuses and children; other compounds that cling to plastics can cause cancer or birth defects. A basic tenet of toxicology holds that the dose makes the poison, but many of these chemicals-BPA and its close relatives, for example-appear to impair lab animals at levels some governments consider safe for humans. In the near future, cars are also a disaster for human health, which will be severely damaged already in the embryo phase due to the effects of high amounts of microplastics. Moreover, it is also well known that children can already be biologically irreparably damaged by light air pollution. But inside a car, air pollution is up to 12 times higher than outside. So car drivers irreversibly damage their own children, including their children's DNA for that matter. Moreover, microplastic car emissions have a severe effect on the plankton, which largely halts the global O2 production in the oceans. An earth where no more O2 is produced is a dead planet. I would like to call on everyone to make life as miserable as possible for car drivers. These types of persons do not really deserve a life anymore, given the knowledge we now have.
