I finally put water and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, just guessed at the ratio (50/50), and now love it for cleaning mirrors. Good to learn these other uses. I'm looking at your article and it indicates a different ratio for using it as a disinfectant. Here you've said 50/50 (one part/one part), but the article says 2 parts alcohol. Are these ratios really all that important? Even before seeing that in your article, I was already wondering about the windshield-fix ratio. I like simple, and to just have one spray bottle that is 50/50 makes my brain happy, ha. But if that extra amount of alcohol in the windshield spray would eliminate the benefit, I'd love to hear the reason/science behind it.

Wow, it works amazing on removing adhesive. For years, and I do mean years, I've had a huge sticker residue on a stainless steel kitchen garbage can that I couldn't remove. I tried the usual cleansers, 409, Mr. Clean as well as Goop, Goo-Gone, Magic Eraser, Scrubbing bubbles, and even steam cleaning it off. Nothing worked. Just now I used 90% rubbing alcohol on a cloth and it just melted off. THANKS!!! :)

Another terrific video Melissa! I use 99% Isopropyl in a spray bottle on my 16 y.o. hockey equipment. I spray it on all the stinky, wet surfaces after a game/practice when we hang it up. Works wonders at keeping the stench down!!!! I also make my own daily shower spray using RA. You will need the following: ~a spray bottle ~1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide ~1/2 cup rubbing alcohol ~6 drops of liquid dish soap ~2 tsp Jet Dry ~water Put the hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, dish soap, and jet dry in your bottle and top up with water. There you have it....shower spray. * spray on walls/tub/shower floor after having a shower, the spray breaks up the surface tension of the water left behind and not spots will remain * I have found that it is best to start using this with a clean shower/bath tub (you are way ahead of the game that way and your shower walls will stay clean)

Watched your video about Hydrogen Peroxide. Hydrogen Peroxide will take blood out of any fabric without discoloring it. Whatever reason you may get blood on your clothes, you can get the blood stain out using H.P., you can use it full strength or diluted, full strength won"t hurt your clothing. When you apply it to a blood stain it bubbles and eats away the protein. It's kind of amazing to watch. If you cut yourself by accident and get blood on your clothing, you don't have to get rid of your clothing. It will clean up amazingly. Sometimes accidents happen, you don't have to throw away your clothes, or towels, etc.

Love you videos. Ill share a tip. Always wash and dry microfiber towels in low or no heat. Hot water or regular heat in the dryer will melt the "microfibers" (the ones you cant see) that actually make the towels clean so well. Most times I can use a microfiber and water to clean most things.

quick tip- not necessarily a cleaning tip but another way to use alcohol- being a hair and makeup artists- I find lots of tips and tricks and alcohol works wonders! if your makeup ever falls and crumbles on you such as bronzer or eyeshadows all you need to do is break up the makeup into a powdery substance (remember the more you break it up the smoother the makeup with be after it dries) with a fine point of some sort (such as the end of your thinner makeup brushes) and then pour alcohol into the case allow it to air dry- the alcohol will combine the particles together and you will have a brand new case of powder makeup

Firstly I really enjoy your videos. I am a single Mom of a beautiful 9 yr old daughter and we both suffer with allergic Rhinitis. I've been told that I am borderlining on being an Obsesive Compulsive when it comes to cleaning lol..I love to keep a clean home is what I say. and I have to keep on top of cleaning especially since we have pets and cleaning helps keep the allergens at bay..my daughter and I walk barefoot all the time when at home and I have hardwood floors so it is important that the floors are clean and I loved your video on how to clean hardwood floors BTW ..I have always used Vinegar but now I know about the alcohol being good too so I will try it next time I wash my floors . I also love to keep the stainless steel and mirrors shiny and I definitely will use alcohol. We live in Dorval Quebec 2 which is in the West Island , we are 5 minutes from Montreal so we know what the cold winters are like lol. and will definitely try your alcohol suggestion on the car windows. My question tho is in your videos more into it you say a lot of the time "Just spray alcohol and wipe" now are you using just alcohol or do you mean _ part alcohol _ water? I can see you making a mixture of alcohol/water ..but sometimes I'm not sure when you are using the mix or not..because you say "Just spray alcohol on your cloth and wipe like when you remove hair spray off mirrors , spraying your sink after meals etc. ..Thanks :-)

These are great. Thank you. I’m going to try these. I’m especially intrigued by the frost on car 🤯 just one comment as I have tried it in the past - don’t use it on a whiteboard because it will clean the markers but it seems to condition the surface and it makes it harder to clean markers after that. There are special cleaners for whiteboard which work well. Btw your home is spotless!!!
