This problem has existed for the entire run of Escapes, I have a 2011 3.0 with the same issue. Ford should have done a recall as this is a serious safety issue. Their solution was to add the cross beam but as it attaches to the rusted out part in question it serves no purpose. Sadly this will come as no surprise for anyone old enough to remember the Ford Pinto

@@RickBork I'm not sure they're hungover you probably were I'm making those peanut butter Reese's bars right now just ran out of ingredients have to go to town tomorrow and get some more works really good melting all that stuff on top of the wood stove it just doesn't get too hot to burn everything plus it's green energy Greta could come and test the temperature by sticking her face to the top of my stove 🤣😆😬

On my 2005 Escape both subframes are still good (little surface rust) we sprayed the underneath with Fluid film during the hot summer months. It will be going in to repair/replace the rocker panels rusted out just infront on the resr wheels about a foot or so. Body shop said they seen alot worse. Going to get the work done in the springtime. The thought of carrying an auto loan makes me feel terrible - I rather be driving a paid off one. Its a.ways better the devil you know

I got rid of my Wifes 2004 Escape V6 because of this as well as just General Rot everywhere. The lift point even caved in when the Mechanic put it on the lift it was so Rotted. Ive never had a vehicle in my life Rot as bad or as fast as that Escape. Too bad though that V6 was a runner and only had 150k on it. Leaked oil like a bastard though. We bought a 2014 CRV to replace the escape.

@@ivobiancucci4528 Yeah more like 3 Grand multiplied by 6 lol. It will be around a long time though we keep cars forever. I still drive a 94 Buick Roadmaster as my Daily. That Escape only lasted us 4 years though before it rotted away. Total waste of money that thing was.

@captain3186 at least you got 4 years. I bought an 06 Escape back in 2018 for 4 grand. 120k miles and drove great. A year later it needed some exhaust work done so I dropped it off at the mechanic and got a call the next day to come in. I knew it wasn't good. Entire subframe rotted. My mechanic advised me not to put any money into it. He told me I was an idiot for not bringing it to him before buying (he's been my mechanic for 15 years now). You live and you learn. Will never buy another Ford and will always get a second opinion before buying any used car. Silver lining is my mechanic had a buddy selling an 08 civic that I bought that is still my daily today.

Interesting. Did Ford have a run of bad steel? seems like several years and many models have a rusting issue. either body or engine.

Don't like? Don't watch it. Pretty simple isn't it. But want to make yourself heard and voice your opinion and have other pacify you and your demands. Sit down shut up and watch the video or change the channel until you find someone to fulfill your picky little needs. 👍

@@RickBork Believe me, after about 5 mins of watching you put shit away, I fast forwarded to when you finally did something that the video description details, and saw it at 10 mins and shut it off. Only way it could get worse is if you put some shitty free licence music too loud over your talking about cleaning up.

Very discouraging this guy has no team work finding all these other problems which is gonna cost more very pessimistic video I wanna fix my sub frame Im almost afraid of having them change my subframe all that stuff has to come off omg
