It is so beyond refreshing to see a nutrition focused influencer who regularly uses the microwave. Sounds weird to say, but wellness culture has tried to make us believe microwaves are toxic and will give you cancer for the last 10+ years. ALL food is good food! And it’s nice to spread the message that you can be healthy AND satisfied without having to slave over a stove for every single meal!

another way to warm up your rice/other stuff and keep it from drying out or splattering in the micro is to wet a piece of paper towel and place it over the food! way easier than ice cubes imo

@@user-tb3lj3lg9s it usually doesn't stick to the rice if the paper towel is wet. I actually ring it out a little so it's just kinda damp before putting it on the food and very rarely does rice stick to the paper when I pull it off. there's a chance of it soaking up a bit of sauce or soup if you cover it, but it's the same thing if you put a dry paper towel on top to prevent splatter tbh

It keeps the moisture within the rice so it doesn’t get hard and crunchy in the microwave. I use a damp paper towel over food I put in the microwave. Because the microwave be fucking up the food when you reheat so doing methods like this helps keep the moisture or heat of the food so still taste like it was made whenever it was since it’s leftovers.

Cilantro, the leafs are rounder, meanwhile parsley leafs are sharper 😊 and since it has what looks like birria and in Mexico we love to put white onion and cilantro on top of the birria, it's cilantro 🕺
