The thing I really love about this animation is that throughout the fight you can see in sans expression that he’s being self calmed and does not show much expression throughout the battle, remaining calm. However when he’s hit you see the first real reaction from him when he is shocked after seeing his blood wound. But the part that hits like a truck is when sans starts breaking down into tears. Sans rarely opens up into his emotions and often hides it behind a calm appearance and attitude, so seeing him unable to take it anymore and break down into tears knowing he’d die in vain and can’t stop the human from doing the genocide route no matter what he does is honestly really sad and puts into perspective the pure creativity Toby put into sans when writing him

The moment with the tears of the sans is one of the best on all of KZfaq. The way he gradually moves from laughter to tears to this melody is done perfectly, the animation itself is not done at the highest level, but the author conveyed this particular moment perfectly. I have never seen anywhere that the mood of the character is conveyed so well

One of my favorite details is that Sans’ powers are dictated by different hand gestures, like with the bones, looking like he’s physically pulling them out of the ground, or literally grabbing Chara’s soul to throw it around, etc. Finally its one of the few Megalovania animations that gives Sans that detail (from what I’ve seen)
