I just got back from an awful driving lesson after I drove perfectly last week, not sure why it happened, but i guess it was just one of them days. But at the end of the day we’re still learning and have time to improve so don’t be too hard on yourself!! Update: I passed first time in December with no minors! You guys got this, you need them bad lessons to learn from it. It’s all part of the learning process so don’t give up x

Actually thought this was a really good video to share. It’s important to remember that we are still learning and won’t always have a smooth sailing lesson. It’s best to make these mistakes when learning and under your instructors tuition than on your test day or worse, on your own after passing.

As someone who's driven for 14 years now, I've never thought to use the horn in a situation like that bridge. You learn something new everyday.

I’m so glad I came across this video bc last week my lesson was so bad particularly bc I was so tired and just was not in the mood to drive. Even people who have their licence have bad days on the road but as long as you stay safe to the best of your ability and avoid a crash then your all good

I really like the way she is attending the driving lessons and explaining tricky situations. I wish I have had a driving instructor like her back in the day. My instructor explained shit to me. On my very first lesson (I wasn't anywhere near firm in controlling the car itself) , he already sent me on a quite busy road and even got mad at me as I was overwhelmed. I guess I learned most things the hard way

Erin - thanks for allowing these to be shared. Out of all the others you do seem to have the worst encounters of bad drivers and people :D That Van overtaking to stop right in front of you for example.

Aww poor Erin. She wasn’t feeling it in this lesson. Keep it going girl, you’ll gain more confidence soon. Just trust yourself more and try to relax. Whatever you’re doing approaching junctions, lights, roundabouts etc, take it easy and observe well enough.

I have been learning for 8-10 months and after switching instructor was told my biggest problem was approach speed. When my new instructor showed me just how slow I should be on approach, and how early I should be braking and changing to 2nd, i couldn't believe it! As a learner I really worry about being "too slow" so it's hard to build this habit. My problem now is being too hesitant, as I am still trying to find the right balance in my driving.

After seeing lots of this videos, it helps me lots to learn newer things in Uk roads, pass my test with few minor, so thanks for sharing this video, knowledge to everyone who learning for first time in Uk

I just had a few bad lessons that left me feeling bad about my driving. Now i just came back from my diagnostic test (I'm Dutch, it's kind of like a mock test, but if you pass 2/2 special manouvres you dont have to do them on the exam) and I passed. Actually came across scenarios that I've done awful at in the past, but learned from them. Long story short: we all have bad days, but you learn more from them than the good days

Its actually so weird but Erin reminds me when Im driving my instructor! Im driving an automatic and im nervous and im shaking when I'm steering about according to my instructor. I've had many bad lessons for example lane disciplines at roundabout and speed, change of directions. What i like about Aman is that she laughs about when Erin makes a mistake but my instructor is so serious about it which makes me sooo nervous and scared to make a mistake because of it...... I wish u were my instructor. Im like erin i laugh when I feel nervous and make mistakes and my instructor says u could of got a hit... Hmmmmm Aman u make me smile thanks for the videos ❤️☺️😊

As an instructor, there are so many opportunities during this lesson for Q&A but none are taken. Erin you need to take more responsibility for your learning, this is why you keep making the same mistakes during these videos. Amen should be guiding you to make your own decisions instead of just telling you what to do and setting individually learning goals instead of just laughing through it and ignoring most of your basic faults.

Great lessons. Just felt like too frequent instructions will make learner wait for instructions to act. Sometimes blind following of instructions like in this tempted to drive on wrong side. Just my thought. Great videos keep sharing.

My last lesson I was awful. I had a car try to squeeze past off a roundabout and nearly hit the side of me. Which just ruined the entire lesson because of my nerves. Two dangerous and one serious faults on a mock, I was so frustrated after my lesson.

I'm having issues with steering control, i keep drifting to the left alot, do you have any advice on how to improve lane discipline? My instructor says it's something they can't help with and I have to figure it out on my own?

Nice video to watch, enjoyed this episode, makes me think I am not Alone in my ability to drive during this process to hopefully pass one day lol (she is still a decent learner driver) I do try to be safety conscious and drive defensively but as I am learning, even I am making the odd mistake here and there, usually I am fine, but other day I missed a first exit, I thought the 2nd was the first one for some reason, He was like you have missed the exit, It is this way but everything was still reasonably safe in my left lane, I am sure, well it felt like the Instructor tried to get me to turn towards the missed one as I was just about to pass it, Car swerved, he was like why did you turn the wheel like that, or why did you turn, can't exactly remember, but omg It was like being in slow motion, my brain was going a thousand miles an hour as my car headed on a Collision course to the Curb and a sign, but thankfully I applied the brakes and we stopped just in time, but being there then stuck in the left lane of a busy roundabout was not Ideal, thank god somebody decent was watching out for us, because when your driving I think you really do have to expect the unexpected sometimes, I felt like I could have payed more attention, as I missed an exit and said it was down to me to him, but looking back on it not sure if it totally was, I could have easily exited the 2nd one safely, anyway going to keep an eye on it and hopefully as I keep learning such events will happen less, I had a long break in the past, with another Instructor, never went through anything similar then, but I guess with driving anything could happen, like nobody wants to get in to a bump but I guess it can happen to even the most experienced drivers occasionally, this time however I want to pass, It is costing me a fortune but I really got to pass this time and have a different way of life/getting around, will open up more doors and give me freedom, no more carrying heavy bags of shopping, plus it will be nice to go on trips and help elderly family out.

At 2:11 how would you know that the ignition is on but the engine is not. Im worried that on test i may stall and not even know that the car needs to be switched on. Usually i put clutch down and into 1st gear and its fine but one time the car turned off completely

Im facial ALOT OF issue at roundabout when steering the roundabout (where I have to slowly drift to the left when I have to go right 2nd exit or 3rd exit. My instructor many times had to take control of the steering because im oversteering... I feel so nervous because my test is coming and i really have to focus. My instructor has told me countless times about steering gently and don't yank the steering too much when i have to drift but i am still making the mistakes!!! I feel so down and low... Any tips at all?? I am really trying so hard not to do this. I also need to read road marking and road sign more..... Please give me some advice. Also my instructor needs me to be independent in driving as the examiner will be quiet in the real test atm im not independent still..... I turned into the right last minute when there was a right arrow on the right hand side and i should have stayed in the left and went on.

Just came back from my driving lesson, as of today I did 18 hours of the 30 mandatory before the exam. I started dreading going to my lessons and was wondering if I should change instructor or driving school.

Im having issue when i have to drift into the left lane when I am going right 2nd or 3rd exit. I am oversteering too much!! I can't keeo the car controlled and my instructor is getting annoyed with me because of this!! Any tips to avoid this? I am trying very hard and ive beem told that a slight touch can make the car move but for some reason i am making alot of mistakes in this area! My weakest area 😑😑😑😑 i have to steer less just to move the car from a small space on a roundabout turning right 3rd or 2nd exit.. I oversteer 😑😑😑😑😑 any tips? I make alot of mistakes in this area

When is you test Erin You are lucky when i learnt i had to 3 3 maneuvers. Reverse round a corner turn car around in the road and parallel parking.i got my leg slapped every time i crossed my hands hope

This confused me so much because I’m from the U.S. Everything is backwards so it felt weird yielding on right turns for oncoming traffic 😂

Why wasn’t the lane discipline mentioned on the approach to the mini roundabout also entered when the back end of the bus was blocking her vision. It was not safe to enter.

One bad habit I have seen from Erin in a few videos now is she takes both hands off the stairing wheel. I have been tought that I must keep one hand on the wheel at all times.

My penultimate lesson before the test, I seemed to forget how to drive, making a million errors, and looking as bad as I was on first couple lessons, next lesson went well then passed with 6 minors, usually when learning something you will get worse at some point
