I find a judge of a good Terran is if they can split vs banes. It's the only micro that is more than moderate effort for a terran player imo Clem is one of very few deserving Terrans in the top spots

After watching so much WinterStarcraft, there's a lot that impresses me, what with Dark's positioning/strategy and watching Protoss Stalker juggling. But Clem's the only one recently that has me catching myself after the GG, needing to unfurl my brow, lift my jaw, and figure out how to incorporate what I just watched into my understanding of the human condition. Honestly Serrals ability to manage so much with no mistakes is possibly more impressive, but Clem's speed/precision is just so blatantly on display the disgust hits me harder. Humans aren't supposed to be able to do this. 😂

Watch some protoss games, particularly Her0. Since protoss is so unfavored he is constantly mixing up the strategies.

thats only natural in any competitive environment... people will always find what works, then others will use its, tweak it and so on. its in every sport, esport, hell its even in business etc.

@@TheMHB199 I always respected starcraft for having about 5-10 different meta builds that rely on the opponents' builds, it doesn't feel so much like that anymore imo

@ZatralTMF that's true but I think that's because players have gotten better over time so some strategies that used to work no longer do. Also if people find counter strats then you have to counter the counter if you catch my drift. And so on and so forth until you get wittled down to only a few effective builds.

@@TheMHB199 some races still have a ton of different builds, which is a frustrating indicator of race imbalance, but oh well, maybe in time

that applies to most units u donkey kong. Carriers, lurkers, siege tanks, colossus, tempest, battlecruisers, DT's, Ultra's, Templar, infestors, etc etc, all require several orders lower attention and skill to use them than needed to safely deal with them. I can go on and on but you should get the point by now. Marines are objectively the most micro intensive unit in the game also (if you want to use them cost effectively). To be cost effective they require high APM (both offensively and defensively), and constant harass / multi-prong, as they are very tempo / momentum based. They suck (or die very easily) vs many unit comps also. It's like you don't even play the game you nub. Go play as Random. Hopefully that will make you stop being a whiner. Or if you think Marines are so OP then just stfu and play as a Terran, and watch as you get smoked once you get to like diamond up. But yea we know all this balance whine doesn't apply to 99.9% of sc2 players anyhow since they're all too low level, balance is based almost entirely on the pro scene.

And to deal with that, they buffed widow mines and nerfed banes

Many pros use a dumping key. You click and drag all the units on your screen and create control group 1, but you don't want the air unit (i.e. banshee) in that control group, so you immediately click the banshee and then click your dumping key (for me it's space bar) to remove it from control group 1 and put it in control group 0.
