Great info! I plant 10-12 seeds a year, so one pod would last me several years! I cut the fresh pods into 2-4 pieces, put in freezer bag, sprinkle with a little seasoned flour to separate pieces, shake and freeze. Add more to the bag as I harvest more.

That is what I do too except I use corn meal mix and I season it up really well with kosher salt, garlic powder, and other herbs. So yummy!

I harvest mine 4 to 5 inches long. If you cut them at 2 inches you are picking them too soon. I've grown this variety for years.

If it is hybrid, will the seeds be good to use in future

If you are growing a hybrid okra plant the seeds may not grow the exact variety that the seeds came from. But it should still grow an okra plant This okra thar I am growing is an Heirloom variety so it will produce the same plant.

We are about to harvest our first crimson spineless okra tommorow, thanks for the video. However, I do have a question for the chat room and or for you on how long does a plant produce for. We have a total of 14 is that alot?

Okra will grow all through the summer and into the fall until the frost kills it. It will slow down when the temps drop into the 50s though. 15 plants will give you a ton! Be prepared to go out at least once if not twice (morning and evening) to harvest. The okra pods grow super fast! If they get too big they are not good to eat. Too fibrous. Hope you get a bountiful harvest! Thank you so much for watching. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask and I will share what I know😊

We had 10 last year and it was enough for the 2 of us and 2 adult kids for the year. It will produce until frost gets it, unless you quit picking daily. We fry it and use it in soups/stews.

The okra gets about 4 to 5 ft tall by the end of the season. The sunflowers are easily 8 ft tall
