Not like all other "heal classes". I never saw runs where people got to much heal:) I learn to understand why so many people dislike u.

Useless nerf, all that time could have been spent elsewhere fixing things that need to be fixed. Or instead of nerfing stuff they could have just buffed other classes. But since they dont like animation canceling, why not remove it from barbs, warlocks, paladins and fighters? Just because most of those classes arent meta and less people play them? This nerf was unwarrented, no one wanted it and it didnt need to happen. If they want to force people to play different classes this isnt the way to do it. No ones going to make another healing class because of thia but if they buffed other healing classes people would swap the same way everyone swapped to wizwrd when it got buffed.

This was such an idiotic move by Cryptic and we have you to thank for highlighting an unrealistic cancellation on dummies in your test server. You seem to favor your paladin healer and probably didn't outperform clerics. The game population will have less heals now in difficult content, more deaths and more expensive scroll use .... way to go...

Another garbage patch. How is this supposed to be "fun" for a for players on a class that REQUIRED for group content and ALWAYS in low supply. This will definitely not help keep people playing this class. With the absolutely ridiculous scaling, being able to heal your party effectively will not be possible. I for one will not be playing as a healer anymore and refuse to buy ZEN for a game that has become less and less enjoyable. Would be nice if these Devs would actually pay attention to what players like maybe then they would turn a profit.

I take it all back, my bad...here is the story on why i built a cleric in the 1st place...i seen ppl spamming tab in Q's, i thought it was broken so i had no intention of building a cleric...then the day came where a person asked a cryptic dev if cleric tab spam was working as intended, the dev said yes, everything was fine...i stopped building my others chars and focused on cleric because the dev assured me that it was ok...dude is a dam liar...i'm not pist that they did it, i'm pist that i can't trust these ppl at all...i'm quitting NW and STO, even if they revert the changes, does not matter...do you understand how much time i wasted? No more...i should be thanking that dev, i was planning on spending 400 bucks on the next STO sale, no joke, i had it all lined up...instead, i will be quitting gaming, have a good one ppl, no more from me.

First Brett Norton told us the DC is good as it is and they won’t change it, almost comparing the stop anim to a skill. But on the pressure of few members of the community he stated that « we must show supports the love they deserve » … And he expressed those sincere feelings by nerfing the DC 🤡 You know where you can shove this kind of love … I think it is time to say good bye to this game and to my DC. It has been to much bad decisions leading us on, treating players badly like we aren’t customers. I am fed up with those kind of things. I got your love and you will miss one support player as it is something so commun you can treat them like crap. Good luck.

Thanks for the info as usual Aragon. I hope Cryptic read this as quite frankly they need to do more to encourage people to play support roles, drive them away. Every time they nerf an ability on a support class the more people leave. Do they care, of course not as all the whales play DPS anyway. I play a lot of support roles but Im now thinking why should I bother as my healer is going to be less effective. Just waiting until my VIP expires then I'm gone from this pos. Its been 3 years of constant frustration with cryptic, I've spent a shed load of money to support them and for nothing. Looks like BG3 awaits me, at least that's only one small expense.

All healers leave now. We all need to take a stand for this BS. All healers need to down tools...If the community can react and we never have another healer for the next 2 weeks then Cryptic might just think Oh weve gone too far! Maybe not though as they are deaf and blind idiots. Please support me in this NO HEALERS for at least 2 week. Im certainly not gonna be providing any heals to anyone.

No change to Healing word? Incredible how they quickly nerf cleric but still waiting on improvements to warlock and paladin

instead of nerfing stuff they should focus on fixing trash bugs like getting stuck in platform etc etc.

I used to use Blessing of Battle and Sacred Flame, so I suppose I'll just go back to that. And dig up some Lathander's Dew. {:o:O:}

I might have done something wrong but On Xbox preview I was not able to get any ap gain from BoL and AC did not even proc the halo

I could cancel the blessing animation launching healing word, before halo appearance, now it seems very difficult: most times casting the encounter will interrupt the animation without giving the buff

This was a much needed change for the cleric. Not only does the spam break the intended effects of the class, but if someone happened to have say, epilepsy, the strobe effect would probably not be good for them. Glad to see it is fixed, however, cleric will lose healing ability overall, and with not much to replace that loss, it loses utility in the future.

Missed opportunity to add more utility to the Cleric next to pure healing.. Just glad they didn't nerf magnitudes and Healing Word.

My friend told me there was an idiot saying we could get daily back in 7 seconds. Not on consoles that nerf should only be on pc

I seen nothing to make me want to play my Cleric again and I've never used animation canceling on them before. The Cleric was my least favorite healer in the game. This doesn't change my mind.

They fix this but won’t buff other dps classes so we can at least be on the same playing field as wizards 🤦🏿‍♂️ literally hard to get into content every now and then cause all everyone wants is a wizard or HR

I can get my ap to 60 % at the moment so not really worried , i would be happy if they put healing back on sunburst tho so it can be usable or add heals on all damaging powers 😅 even if its just a little bit of healing that comes from them

meh, I wouldn't care if they removed animation canceling in general, I think it hurts mmos/rpgs in general and one of the main resons I quit ESO and came back to neverwinter, fortunatly here, people don't give you weird looks if you say you don't animation cancel

Can you say what it means by exactly "Power Magnitude"? In Damage Formula Neverwinter PVE M26 excel would be helpful, trying to understand and calculate my char damage.

I main a non-endgame DC. I'm a bit in two minds out it all. While I agree that 16 sec until full daily is a bit too much, it would've been nice if they had offset the anim-cancel nerf with a little more team support. For instance sun burst with knockdown instead of knock back, or astral shield as 'channel on target' instead of 'channel on location'. A slightly reduced at-will casting time as compromise would have been nice as well, but oh well... For randoms my DC is fine, i didn't use my daily that much anyway. For harfer content we'll see.

Aragon how much take the boss when you use grace ring? And how much for the sw armor debuff?

Honestly, all this changes is no more over healing for the dps that just wanna stand in red. Gonna have to play mech ig. Definitely a missed opportunity for more utility tho. The old shield enc/ power share or something be cool.

Great video as always its quite amazing how many people are complaining about something that isn’t intended that they were exploiting sure most that know of these exploits are end game but they don’t do the community any favours either so its great cryptic is taking the time to fix these flaws/exploits legit players will see no difference so they would care less about it

This isn't so bad. The bad cleric healers never use animation canceling anyway. If they start nerfing heal magnitudes, that's when we're going to have a bunch of pissed of dps and tanks 😂

Okay, nice. This change will help the other healing classes: Minstrels, Oathkeepers, and Soulweavers. But, there is much more work to be done. I’m hopeful some buffs are coming to other classes.. everyone loves those!

Might be in the minority here, I don't need to cancel to get my AP gain. That being said, play the cleric is kind of boring? At least with canceling it was kind of fun doing damage. Also apparently I'm not smart enough to arbiter, so I kind of just use canceling to do North dark and other campaigns. Either way I'm going to retire my cleric as the fun is gone
