I forgot how beautiful that area is. My mother was born in Lebanon and her family was from Russell county so my roots run deep in that county. Excellent video keep them coming!!

I love the old Virginia bridges! Sadly, so many were taken down and upgraded for safety. I enjoy the swinging bridge in Buchanan, and over the Rapidan, the Rappahannock and so many more! I love your videos! Feeds my love of my home state! I hope I can come back soon!! Thank you! Safe travels!

Thanks for the Video! We used to hike there a lot about forty to fifty years ago. I am afraid those days are over for me now. There was a spot in the middle of the falls were you could lay on your back and stick your head under the water fall and the water would flow over top of you and in front of your face. I loved doing that. Thanks for the memories. It looks the same today as it did then, and that is a good thing.

Years ago while vacationing in Russell, I went swimming at the falls with my kids. Great place! Thanks for the video.

It's in Lebanon, VA, just outside of the town of Lebanon. My wife's family owned/(still owns) some of the land around the falls and her dad and uncles used to walk to Lebanon from there. My wife's grandmother's home, built by her great grandfather and great great grandfather, is the first house on the left when you turn onto the gravel road toward the falls. Also, they used to run a little store right there on the corner as well. My wife's grandmother was Odell (Yates) Nash and she used to teach school during WWII at a small school a little further down the paved road from her home, until her future husband, Clyde, returned from the War. The school house is still standing. She also taught at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, you all showed it in the video, located on the right just prior to the gravel road. Thanks for sharing the video, beautiful area...

You 2 are great together. Wish I had what you 2 have together. Loved the sound of the small plane going over. No idea why but that sound has always stopped me in my tracks. I listen until the sound fades away.

It's a beautiful area, especially near the waterfalls, but I bet the woodboogers come out at night. 😊 I love Shane's Ric Flair shirt! Woooooo!

It is Rosedale,VA. There use to be a post office there a long time ago. My dad fished for trout as a child there in the forties and fifties.

This is my favorite of all your videos. As a child growing up in East TN I spent many hours in the woods. Enjoyed the views, wildflowers, soothing waters. Melody is a great addition, with her insights, charm and enthusiasm. Infirmities of age prevent long hikes, thanks for taking us along on yours!

Love the waterfall ♥ Shane, I can absolutely appreciate that you ventured over to the graveyard through the grass.....I held my breath waiting and hoping not to see a snake....that is my most hated creature on earth.....you did good :-) Thanks for taking us on the hike with you, the swaying bridge looked fun.

the bridge was a LOT more fun than going through the graveyard lol. I was just sure I would walk up on a snake. The worst thing about it is that I found out later there was a much easier walk to get to it than what I did lol. Thanks for watching.

OMG! I loved this video! So peaceful and calming! I really needed to see this. Have been awake all night with usual aches & pains. I really miss getting to go hiking. Our family used to go to the Cascades alot & I loved when we'd hike to the waterfall! This was so beautiful! It's a shame the old cemetery is not better taken care of. The only thing I would have trouble with would be the swinging bridge! I'm scared of those & heights too. But that bridge looks better than some I've seen & had to cross. You two make an awesome team. But I have to say, Shane, you're more handsome without the "pig snout"! Lol! And, Melody, I love your hair like that! Thank y'all so much for this beautiful hike! God bless & stay safe!

Omg lol I was raised here on our family farm. Go past the turn off about a couple miles. Its called Glade Holler. My nanny & papaw still live here ❤️😂 good to see it on the map. Btw it’s technically Lebanon - go across copper ridge to Cleveland or Honaker. Go straight past nanny & papaws to get to Honaker. Boy oh boy the memories ❤️ wish I could move back home 😂

I got married at Oak Grove Baptist church. ❤️😭 y’all bring so much happiness to my heart thank you. My papaw use to draw water from the creek at the “pinnacle” for our swimming pool ❤️❤️ we would ride our horses down there and go across the water bridge. Was so much fun back then. Thank you for the beautiful memories that flooded back

It’s in Lebanon VA, not Cleveland. The concrete low water bridge was a vehicle “bridge” years ago. You used to be able to drive all the way to the falls. We spent lots and lots of time there when I was growing up. We did not live very far from there (you actually videoed the farm on your way in).
