1. Shoe box with compartments.
I suggest you see how to make an oval box with a lid. To make it you will need two reels of tape.
1) To begin with, I cut each bobbin in the middle with a stationery knife into two parts.
2) From corrugated cardboard I cut strips in width equal to the height of the reel, the length is arbitrary.
3) I glued them to the halves of the reels with paper tape. It is necessary that the thickness of the inserts be the same as the thickness of the bobbins.
4) You get two identical blanks, one of which will be the lid.
5) I cut out a strip 6.5 cm high from cardboard. I glued it with PVA glue inside one part, and attached it with clothespins so that it was in good contact with the inner surface.
6) The result is a part on which the lid of the box will be placed.
7) I glued oval cardboard to each box blank.
8) For decoration you can use napkins, beautiful paper, twine glued with coils will do. I used wrapping paper.
9) I diluted a little wallpaper glue and spread it on the paper itself so that it was saturated with glue and was pliable. I walked over the gluing area.
10) I glued the box - first on the outside and left it to dry, then I glued it on the inside.
11) A furniture handle; I made holes on the lid using an awl and screwed screws there.
12) I glued roses to the side, which I had previously made from self-hardening material in molds.
The box does not require material costs; everything you need to eat at home.
2. Shoe box with compartments.
When we buy shoes, we take away a cardboard box with them. Sometimes its appearance is so good that it’s a shame to throw it away.
Such boxes have several advantages: they are free, made of thick cardboard, the front side often looks beautiful, even if it is not, any box can be covered with paper, fabric or jute.
Elements such as a tag on which the contents of the box will be written will not be superfluous. Handles are also an additional decoration, for which you can use pieces of belt, jute rope, beads, leather and much more that will decorate the appearance.
The corners of the box can also be decorated.
Several identical, decorated boxes will look neat and compact, and will also decorate the space on the shelf. It is important that it is possible to stack the boxes on top of each other, thereby saving space.
1) It’s also easy to divide the inside of the box into cells of different sizes. Moreover, they can be rearranged in several ways.
2) For example, you will need two identical boxes. One remains whole, the other is cut into 4 identical parts. This is done from the bottom.
3) Next, these parts need to be slightly reduced on all sides so that all four parts fit inside. It is better to glue these parts.
I came up with 4 options for how to place the crossbars:
- Four identical compartments. This arrangement is good for demarcating content, making it easier to search.
For example, you can place light socks separately from dark ones. Or categorize creative items. Yes, at least hide all kinds of cords and rechargers here.
- Two identical trays
This results in a larger size. Just right for flaps. Or larger things will fit here, for example, pens, markers, pencils, scissors, gloves.
- Another distinction - one large compartment and two small ones.
- After some twisting, I managed to make this combination of partitions. Small and letter G.
An improved shoebox has its place. A little imagination - and you won’t be able to distinguish it from a store-bought one.
3. Wallpaper boxes.
No matter how accurately you calculate the amount of wallpaper for renovation, there will always be a surplus; you can’t calculate it exactly. After all, you can’t buy a roll of 10 meters or less, you have to buy the whole roll.
So 2-3 meters and pieces remain.
I have long wanted to make storage boxes into drawers, and wallpaper is just right for this, they are dense, strong, as if rubberized.
To make one box, you need to cut out a square.
How to roll:
1) On the reverse side I drew lines crosswise.
2) I folded two opposite corners towards the middle and immediately glued them. Since the wallpaper is thick, you need to smooth each fold well with a ruler.
3) Next, I folded the other two corners towards the center.
4) I turned these corners and folded the paper that was glued towards each other.
5) Again I folded the square and folded the same sides so that the folds were bent in the desired direction.
6) Once again I unfolded the folds and made cuts from 4 sides to the diagonal.
7) The middle part was unfolded.
8) The cut parts were lifted and connected, and the protruding parts were folded over.
9) I did the same on the other side. It turned out to be a neat box.
10) You can accurately make the desired size of the box. The bottom will be equal to ¼ half of the diagonal, see the diagram.
11) I glued the boxes together with hot glue and placed them in a box.
12) You can glue these boxes together, glue the sides on 4 sides and get a separate box with compartments.
