I haul my dogs in pet trailer and their constant movement has often resulted in bicycle falling over.Once resulting in a broke shifter.So yes well worth it.No more broken handlebar accessories and no tipping the cow.(Bicycle with panniers on ground)

On this gorgeous Surly Ogre you have bag holders in the fork which seem very stable. Can you tell me where you got them?

It's actually a Surly ECR and the cages on the fork are the Salsa Anything Cages.

I purchased two for a recumbent and a gravel bike, they unfortunately have never successfully kept the “loaded” bikes balanced when the slightest wind comes up. 4:25

I've been using a trekking pole for many years. Guess I'll just stick with what I already have lol just put a small stick in your brake lever to lock it or maybe use a little velcro strap or something. Tent poles, sticks, trekking poles, monopod, etc.. You can pretty much find anything to hold your bike up. The most important thing is to lock your brakes.

I had one of these and my bike kept falling over. I got a steer stopper that keeps the handle bars from moving and I think if I had a clickstand now I think it would work great. It works but you need to be careful. Is that a Surly Ogre? I had that exact color!

That's a Surly ECR in Tank Green. 2020 model I've had since first of February. The steer stopper looks interesting, but would interfere with my top tube bag I think?

Let's see...the click-stand... 1. is slower, requiring separate deployment and re-packing procedures 2. is apart from the bike, so it's prone to getting lost 3. is so unstable it requires deployment of an additional component on the brake lever Basically, there's absolutely no advantage to this goofy thing over a traditional kickstand, except if you're a fashion-conscious hipster with an irrational hatred of kickstands and a desperate need to be cool.

Untrue. Traditional kick stands on a loaded touring can damage your bike where they mount. It's a twisting force of pressure. Also because it leans from the higher point on your bike... less torque is being used on your frame. A touring bike doesn't always have space for a kickstand. Mine has zero mounting points. So you're forced to use one that clamps. Those are terrible for you paint and the integrity of the frame itself. I believe "click stands" were created for touring bikes in the first place. I think you have the target demographic completely wrong here. Touring bikes with 50 pounds ore even more packed onto while the kick stand is engaged are their primary use. I've seen several people snap a traditional kickstand with a loaded bike.
