The Brazilian contingent of top surfers often get credit for raising the bar, and performing at a new, much higher level on Surfing's championship tour, and there are definitely two or three that most surfers and fans faithfully tune into to see their advanced aerial surfing in competitive heats. Although injuries have plagued Hawaii's John John Florence since he began surfing at the championship level in 2012, and full-time since 2013, he does have two worlds titles, and for me--at least--has surfed some of the most memorable waves in good conditions over the last decade.
