The prosecution delivers a closing statement to the jury in the Detroit murder trial of Jaylin Brazier, who is accused of killing his 17-year-old cousin Zion Foster. Foster went missing from Eastpointe in 2022. Her body has never been found.

Clearly shows no remorse, completely void of emotion. I applaud the DA, step by step he revealed a calculated timeline from a manipulating liar... Zion's mom is leaving something out it was something going on in that household that she was running away from?? What could that be? All the red flags were there why did Zion get in the car with his boy..10 o'clock why did her mom allow her to leave the house with a grown man that late at night I don't care who he is. I have a 11 year old daughter and I have brothers and sisters but let me tell you one thing my 16 ,17 year old daughter will not be going with no grown man. I don't care if he related to me I don't care who he is but he's not coming to pick my daughter up at 10:00 at night to go nowhere!!! Zion had to know that he wanted to sleep with her, he was telling her that with all the explicit conversations and the p*** that he was sending.

Yeah many parents try to over compensate and please their children for whatever reason to keep them from being angry with them and to possibly keep them from running away again. It’s really sad. I’d rather them be angry with me than to allow them to do whatever they want to do.

I agree…… my 16 yr old daughter wld not be going anywhere at 10pm. And as a MOTHER, a PARENT, My job is not to please my children or be their “friend” God gave them to me and my responsibility is to parent with love, and authority. My job is to protect not pacify. There are times my daughter, who is 18 now and will be graduating on may 31st, may not have liked me. May have been angry when I told her no. But she loves me and lets me know how greatful she is for my wise counsel and guidance. She’s graduating with honors, top 10% of her class and Lord willing will be attending college in fall. Parents love your children and parent them with the guidance, wisdom, and love of God. Rest in peace Zion. I’m so sorry for all you went through

The mother was probably doing the best she could. She had younger children she was raising. Zion had run away before. So mom was probably trying to keep the peace with Zion and just pick her battles. To keep Zion from running away again.

I surmise from the responses that You are judging a Family who has had a Child murdered by a close relative on Her Mother! How Dare You all, Zion's Mother wasn't responsible for the Evil that Men do to Young Lady Zion. The lost of a Child, Teenager is the most devastating Loss for a Parent. No matter what You say; none of You will never know the pain, unless You have lost a Child to violence! You aren't Sympathetic enough to feel the loss of a Child! Shame on You All! RIP Zion, Strength and Grace to the Mother of this Beautiful Now a Angel!
