there's sooo much mic that you'd get the chills from bro, i wouldn't even know where to start to recommend stuff. i think being in the industry tho, his song 'kim k's butt' kinda exemplifies the mid point of his struggle as an artist & what loads of artists experience, signing.your first deal & being told to act, write, perform a certain way, when it was the complete opposite that got your fanbase in the first place. mic's been on such a ride over the years & had the chance to be "commercially successful" but chose to remain true to himself. & he's always honest about it in all his tracks, his insecurities, inadequacies, failings with drugs, women, mental health & self indulgence. this freestyle was at the start of it all & even through the ups & downs over the last like 10 years, hasn't disappointed man

In the UK "bait" can mean that something is obvious. So if someone is "moving baitly" it's obvious what they're up to. When you hear these slang terms it might be best to do a quick Google search. UK slang is scattered throughout our rap music

There are 2 other rappers from the U.K. as far as I am concerned the best British rapper ever and still is now is Akala, when people say "underrated rapper" They have no idea what that means, Akala is the embodiment of underrated. And Ocean Wisdom, does some of the best double time you will ever hear and is also a lyrical animal.

In those first 4 bars he actually misses of the end of the final bar, in a different video he returns to that stanza and does the full version which is: 'These are words of a broken man, working a hopeless plan, the hour hand turns when will we have our turn? I wish you had a heart so you could you have it hurt" So if ur wondering why there was no rhyme on that last bar it was just because he probably forgot it or had to catch his breath

Looking forward to checking out your Akala reactions. :) That said, I'd strongly recommend that you don't use youtube subtitles for these FITB sessions. It got sooo much wrong in this video. Your corrections proved that you understand his accent much better than the crappy youtube tech can. And for the last verse you were catching bars that the subs couldn't even keep up with. So trust your UK ears, brother. You've got this. :)

I tried Akala as my first out of the UK and it put a bad taste in my mouth. I was thrown into the deep end! Lol. But I’m Slowly learning now. I’m going to revisit all of Akala’s music once I become Just a bit more comfortable. I still get lost in the lingo/accents at time. I just started this channel in January so it’s only getting better from here! And I’m glad to have you! Reach out any time!

@@ACSP_1188 The Mr E ep doesnt count as it wasnt under the name Mic Righteous, Kampain came before Yob Culture, making Yob Culture the second release, Mic says in his interview in the Dalby cafe that Dreamland was his first album and everything that came before was a mixtape

@@jamestheheel Kampain didn't come before Yob Culture, it came after. Yob Culture was 2011 and Kampain was 2012, Mic even references Yob Culture in the past tense in the lyrics on certain tracks in Kampain, he literally says "18 when I wrote Yob Culture"
