His answers here are as thoughtful as his playing. This interview was a tremendous gift to all of us who admired Clifford so much.

Rest in peace young brother you are the greatest loss in 20th century music. Such a young sweet voice, sweet brown is what those cats called him

Live performances and interviews of this jazz master are woefully lacking. I agree, This is a gem.

Clifford Brown never forgot The Father's of Jazz. Because when you forget the face of your father's you've forgotten the heritage of the music

Wonderful to hear this Brownie interview. The warmth projected in his voice is evocative of his sound when playing the trumpet so amazingly. Thank you for this gem.

In this interview, Willis Conover is just as much an interest as Clifford Brown is. When I was in the military I used to hear Willis on shortwave radio, Voice of America, all over the world as I went from station to station. His program opened with him saying "Time for Jazz". Ahh the memories🥲

Probably my favourite on trumpet, Miles, Pops and Dizzy, Chet also. Oh wait, this isn’t Lee Morgan. Clifford is beautiful though.
