Cryed a lot when cliff died, he was a one off , Beautiful songs, great voice, English to the soul.

How effortless his singing is. He manages to nail the tune without any contrivance. He should have been far more famous, but I know he disliked being in the public eye & touring. He has/had so much talent that we didn't get to see/hear. The world was deprived of his talent. I'm going to search to see if I can locate & buy his albums. Nice one Clifford.

Remembering Clifford T. Ward born on February 10, 1944. He was an English singer-songwriter, best known for his career as a solo artist. Ward's 1973 album Home Thoughts remains his best known recording and he had hit singles with "Gaye" and "Scullery". His reluctance to tour in support of recorded work may have affected his chances of more substantial mainstream success. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clifford_T._Ward

I find it interesting that guitarist (and journalist) Derek Thomas is playing with a capo .....I worked out the chords and note pattern using the ordinary chord structure ....with a couple of inversion patterns....

The guitar player looks familiar. I'm sure I've seen him play on some beautiful songs by Cat Stevens.

He was born the same day as me, but 14 years earlier. This song made me happy to be an expert housewife from 21 years old onward. My children would agree. Now I spend my retirement years getting shut down by KZfaq..🤭
