In today's Episode of the Sea of Tales, we are going to take a look at cursed treasure voyages! That's right, my friends. The pirate legend exclusive, endgame voyage that allows you to get your hands on Chests of Rage, Sorrow and a Thousand Grog for a small payment of a handful of doubloons.
Do I have what it takes to handle this dangerous cargo? And more importantly, can I weaponize it to defeat my enemies in PvP? There is only one way to find out..

I had that happen back when Flameheart events were a thing. My friend rowed to the island and Flameheart's giving his "I'm powerful blah blah" and my friend was on voice comms laughing because his dinky rowboat got passed his "unstoppable fleet".

The ancient skelly spawn rate goes up significantly the longer you are away from your ship which is why you always end up finding them during row boat episodes

@@deanbunion bc its basically across the map to where I would plan to leave the ship (over by the right side of the map) and nobody goes to those outer islands so its basically perfect.

@@Jonrocks7I would recommend the Rocks in the Top Left of the map. You can anchor on the far side and nobody ever goes up there.

If you have chests of rage, put them on the bottom of your ship with a couple buckets of water on the floor (not elevated did you did here) they will continue to extinguish themselves from the water which prevents the explosion entirely as they no longer build up heat/fire.

Love the fact that once i saw the thumbnail I instantly thought "He made his livestream into a video" like you mentioned not everything turns into a video but im glad this did cause it was one hell of an adventure on your stream

In the beginning while you were trying to bucket your ship, whilst it didn't look like it, you were actually backsplashing the water into your ship. Which is what I like to call "Bucket Reg", while yes you were filling very quickly, you could've emptied your ship so long as you didn't bucket reg.

I was once doing a tall tale and I somehow ended up in the middle of one of those difficult phantom fleets which sunk my ship. I was left with a rowboat and a chest with a crystal that I had to deliver somewhere, however the storm was heavy and I kept going in circles. After around 30-40 minutes I spotted a brig so i started chasing it, but after nearly touching their ship multiple times they kept getting away without knowing I was hunting them. Eventually I caught up with them and basically begged them to deliver me to my destination. We all shared a laugh and thanks to them I succesfully completed my tall tale. Thanks to Cliff I didn't give up when my boat sunk and I instead saw it as an opportunity to get a great story out of it.

I hope they add more cursed treasure. To be honest I’d love to see more types of cursed treasure, like war treasure that slows down your boat or blessing, treasures like it would have the wind always be in your favor just a little boosts to enhance the gameplay like cannonball chess that seemingly never runs out of cannon balls, and there will be a variety of them to chain shots and everything also keep up your videos Cliff, I hope to sail the seas with you

It’s funny how prior to S9, I didn’t really see a need for those doubloons so I’d save them up and exchange them for gold at a higher price on Community Day but right after I did it for what would be my last time, I discovered that certain things I wanted were being brought back but could only be purchased with those blasted blue doubloons so I suddenly had to go through the effort to earn what I’d taken for granted before. 😂

2:38 so if you put them on the forward barrel in the sloop it fixes that issue, the harpoons will become dangerous though

@@CliffTheStoryGuy well 4 player vs 3 guy (my self included) no canonball used just my boat (a brig) very near for easy respawn, the opponent was (i gues) new player trying to fight and me not being a good fighter. Atleast we gave them a chance to save them and refused. In the end we had a nice barbecue and nothing else

PRO TIP: you could sync the chest of rages in water, by cooling them down on the shore, so they explode at the same time btw love your vids

Yeah suddonly I'm glad I got the cosmetics I wanted at the pirate imporium, yes I know the risks but I had a tone of steam points to blow from my failed steam deck venture and the frozen hoizon sets were to good of an opertunity to pass up besides my ship is called the HMS Devine Moon Deer so I had to give it more than a moon themed name plack so seeing ship parts including not just deer motifes by ice as well I just had to have it before it was gone.

I like it how you try to sink the reapers with the cursed chests. Then it backfires and after bringing back your ship. sunk them way easier. P.s I was their when you were streaming for the cursed chests and my fav part was when all the rage chests exploded each time. That was a sick moment!
