Love your attitude! Ignore the haters who dont have joy in their life. Keep laughing and enjoying your time! And remember summiting is optional, making it back down is mandatory! Dont let the pressure of posting online make you push yourself farther than you should. Those who really care about you want you home safe, not a video of you getting hurt, or worse. I have more respect for those who turn around than those who dont. That said youre young and in shape, i think you totally got this!! 🎉

I’m obsessed with Everest and everything about it and this guy has done it better than anyone! I’m so impressed with the quality of video l, the break down of everything that goes into this journey. This is the coolest perspective and person on any Everest channel I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen most all of them. Good luck on your summit Ryan. You are a badass and can’t wait for you to upload your journey. I’ll be waiting anxiously. Hope that wind cooperates with you and your team! Safe travels and we are all rooting for you! I can’t wait to watch your videos of it all when you get back to BC. 💪🙌🙏

I am pretty sure that he said that he will have a personal sherpa on summit day, but he won't have one up until that point. Not sure why. Maybe he does not think it is necessary. Hopefully he will explain more about this in a future video. (But I am pretty sure that a climber's personal gear is still carried up for them by a porter - so he may just be carrying a day pack with water, snacks, maybe extra gloves and an oxygen tank when needed.
