Climbing the Breithorn 4165m in September 2016

My brother, me and our friend walked over the glacier to reach the top of Breithorn. The top is 4165 meter over the sea. We had really good weather conditions, only a few occasions with clouds and bad sight.
There was some crevasses that we passed and on one spot we heard water stream under the ice below us. A fantastic adventure!!!

Thankyou for posting your video of climbing the Breithorn. This takes me back over 30 years when I first climbed the Breithorn, freezing temps, windy, scudding clouds and I kept thinking "what the hell am I doing hanging on the side of this mountain", just made it back to the top of the Klein Matterhorn cable station with 1 minute to spare for the last cable car for the day. I have climbed many of the peaks in the Bernese Oberland and Zermatt areas but now getting too old. The majority of people in the world will never experience these dizzying heights so keep it going guys, it keeps you fit!!

Fantastic! As a munro bagger looking to climb my firstbpeak outside of the UK (my first real experience at high altitude) I think this looks like a great gateway into higher peaks!

The Breithorn is probably the easiest 4000m summit, but at least, you did it. Nice job.

Looks like Yous took Klein Matterhorn cable car which get You to over 3,820 m. No much climbing been involved then

Hi , nice video, is true that, there is a refuge in the base of the peak ?

You can take the cable lift from Zermatt up to Klein Matterhorn. It is the base for the walk up to Breithorn peak. Klein Matterhorn has some services but I dont know exactly what they offer there.

what route did you climb up and down ?

Hi Sile H, We started from Klein Matterhorn. I think it's called the standard route. Walked over the glacier. Climbed the 35 degree slope up to the summit. Then we continued a bit towards the other lower summits and turned right and walked down and came back and rejoined to the route we started from. Clockwise.
