I used to work for Standlee selling hay at Gulfstream Park Racetrack in south FL. That’s where I learned what the best forage in the world was!! In Florida, at feed stores, the inconsistency of hay products you would buy each week can be detrimental to your horse’s gut. Thank God for Standlee is all I can say!! I may pay a bit more (due to freight costs to south Fl), but my horse’s health is paramount! They’re a grazing animal, and that gut needs to be working all the time! The fact that the quality of my hay is the same 52wks out of the year, is truly a godsend for me! I feed the 2nd cut Timothy (3 string/130-140lb bales), and one bale lasts me 9-10 days at 14-15lbs a day. Yeah, it’s expensive now (thanks to Biden) $46.95 a bale-up from $36.95) as fuel costs skyrocketed.. but I’ll bite the bullet to keep my horse from a chance of colic. Thank you Standlee!!

Great products, my draft mare is just thriving! Gorgeous coat, healthy hoofs, etc, on the beet pulp, and timothy pellets, she gets no grain.

it always annoys me when i am filling hay nets at my barn and the flakes are all different sizes, also onetime a friend of mine found a fawn chopped up in a hay bale, i almost threw up it was so horrible! My barn should definitely consider using standlee hay :)

yikes! Poor thing was probably alive too, since fawns often lay still for a few days after birth. Out of morbid curiosity, I honestly would like to see what that would look like

One thing that worries me, is the hay dust and electrics/heat of the machinery in that warehouse. Just doesn't seem to be enough air extraction which could lead to a fire.

Thats why they recommend popping the bands and letting it expand 8-10 hours BEFORE feeding. I also fluff up the flakes right before feeding it to my horse. 😊

seems like a long way to go for hay, you reckon wild horses went that far? I am thinking TAMU or any well known University with a strong Ag unit would argue that first statement, "The best hay is grown in the Pacific Northwest" What they do have is a heavly advertised line of products, that is not necessarily resoursed in an environmentaly ethical way. It is heavily processed, all that wraping and twining. All that mechanical handling is expensive and reflected with a strong profit margin in the consumer cost.People are victims of advertising, it works. I often see people pay more for hay in tiny bales and feed it in "flakes" instead of by the weight. They often pass up good quality hay which should be fed free choice. Like the man said "brown does not sell well" They are packing small quantities but a horses needs are calculated in tons per year. This may be fine for a pet rabbit. Localy grown clean grass hay is better for the average horse owner.

Grace Wright yep but Clinton has the money and won't take the time to bale his own. He's busy with the hundreds of horses he has

The products look good, I always thought they spray painted the hay green. Clinton is hard on horses, that video of him having that poor horse on the ground with its leg hobbled is abusive!
