Stephenx77 is a fair comment, I own the black one and I’d say with mine about 32 driven sensibly. If you hammer it I think Owens about right at 21mpg. Thanks for your comment.

Is the 172/182 more fuel efficient than the 197/200 would you say? I average 28 in my 200 if i'm being good

@@ginj4ninj4180 Yes, the Clio 172s and 182s are lighter than the 197s and 200s, so they are better on fuel.

@@Stephenx77 I just thought because the 197 and 200 has the sixth gear it might help them keep a higher mileage. Maybe the gearings a lot shorter though, it is still quite high in the revs on the motorway I guess

@@ginj4ninj4180 Yeah, the 6th gear will be a pretty similar ratio to fifth gear in a 172. The shorter ratios through the lower gears help it accelerate a bit quicker to compensate for the weight.

let me guess its to high seating position? im 5' 8" and thinks my clio got the seating position of a van in the lowest setting.

@Chris going to try that and remove the spacers and se how that feels.

@Chris yepp that i know had the driver seat out before to try and mount a sport seat but not removed the spacers at that time.

@@MotorAddicts No problem mate. Does your brother own a Clio at the moment? At this point in time I only know of around 10 in Perth, and as far as i know i'm the only one with a inferno orange/blood orange 182 CUP in the state.

Gorsair no he has not, his last one was back here in the UK. He had a trophy. The infernos are so expensive now as a rare colour here

@@MotorAddicts Yeah infernos aren't common. A total of 25 cars where imported into the country. Probably a quarter not on the road anymore. Wish we had Petrol Blue and Liquid Yellow as an option here but we never did unfortunately. Not sure why we never got the trophy as that would have sold like hot cakes over here. Australia was the worlds 3rd largest Renault sport (RS) market at one point after France and Germany between 2010 and 2016. Hence why we got a stupid amount of special editions and 50 of the 250 made Trophy r Megane's. So i hope we get a lot of the new Nürburgring slaying Megane (The wheels are made in Geelong Victoria after all) We like the modern RS stuff just wish the general public caught on sooner for second gen Clio's.

Gorsair its a shame as they are great track toys and loved all over. Keep the faith mate

neil benton they are mega fun!! We are at Le Mans the weekend, with a R26 megane engined RS200 - 300bhp and 285lb of torque. MEGA!!

I'd be intrigued with what's left on it since I had it. I know the next owner after me didn't get the belts done and someone bought it off him, which is I assume the current owner.

aymanhd I know the engine has been out and rebuilt with turbo attached now. The new owner has a engine centre where they build engines, so was his play thing. It is really well looked after and doesn’t come out often.

That's good to know! I kept it in excellent condition, shame the next owner did not. I've got a 172 now, would love WUU back.

I have a Clio 172 (Actually the black one in the video) and to be fair I was expecting more. I have driven a ep3 turbo and they are absolute animals, very impressive bits of kit.

@@MotorAddicts I think the clio is a good car kept na and developed with na mods and chassis mods there just not very receptive too boost..... Regarding my ep3 it's savage its as tho Honda made the car with modding and turbo charging in mind very very capable car

For your own knowledge 240 hp is very far from this engine limits, may be the owner of the car want it for track and at this point it will be better from turning it up, but trust me these engines are pretty good and can hold much much more.

@@MotorAddicts bloody hell, I just bought a 182 with 158k both cup packs for 1350, the black one is worth way more than that

Ethan Gunnett they do come up but very rare. That one had an immobiliser fault but very simple fix, it was very badly modified so took back to standard.
