Not really. He's profiling Kira in his head, so when Light responded that way. It sorted cemented in L's mind that out of all the people, Light seemed to fit that description. Someone smart enough to spot what L's doing. I think lil moments like these heavily influenced L to suspect Light even more. If only Light didn't always have the need to look so smart.😂😂

@@ahmadmunif7479looking smart doesn’t necessarily mean that someone isn’t smart. If I were the smartest person ever and said 2+2 was 22 then I would look dumb. But I’m not dumb. Let’s say I’m smart and I solve some complex Harvard exam level math question than I would look smart and I am already smart. The other person is saying that Light isn’t holding back his intelligence when responding the the ICPO’s announcement. This reaction makes L suspect Light even more because he knows that Akita is a intelligent individual and the only person who’s obviously through L’s plans is Light.

This scene isn’t talked about enough. It was right here at this moment that L knew light was Kira or rather Kira was light. He already knew Kira had a high intellect as well as a childish way of viewing of the world (winning and losing). Light was smiling while also revealing Ls plan to begin with almost saying (I’m smart of enough to know your plan, and it’s almost laughable you would think I would fall for this). When in reality, he became the only suspect right then and there
