It wouldn't have made any difference. Galaxia was the strongest Sailor soldier, she was originally the one who guided the Galaxies star seed's so she had to be the strongest for such a role. The only way Princess Kakyuu could've made a difference was if her power's were combined with the Starlight's or even with all the Sailor guardians nearby, but they all just watched on until her defeat. Sailor Moon was the first to act, but only after Galaxia had taken Princess Kakyuu's star seed. So Galaxia merely blocked the attack that could've restored Princess Kakyuu.

I think she would still have died even if she didnt open her shield, but attacked instead. She knew her power couldn’t defeat or harm Galaxia much, that’s why (1) she deserted her own planet and flee to Earth when Galaxia attacked her planet, and (2) she urged/ordered the Starlights to “run away right now” while she was holding Galaxia temporarily (she knew she could just hold Galaxia temporarily, as she said “Hurry!” with a sweat at 1:09). I think she wasn’t being reliant on her shield, it was just that given the emergent situation at that time (Galaxia had emitted those starseed-extracting-beams), she had two choices: 1) open the shield to protect the Starlights and other senshis, OR 2) didnt open the shield, let Galaxia’s beams struck the Starlights or other senshis (taking their starseed), but then she could attack. Kakyuu chose (2).

Yes if the Starlights teamed up with their attacks, this may have gone very bad for Galaxia. Plus I think the Starlights thought that their Princess wouldn't need help because she was extremely powerful.

I didn't like the 90'S anime Sailor Galaxia backstory and then she redeems and she leaves to have a happy life fails it makes no sense, she not that of a threat and they kinda mess her up like for instance Galaxia is trying to seal Chaos but fail and then Chaos take Galaxia's body but before that she removes her star seed that becomes Sailor Chibi Chibi which I hate what they done her like that and now Chaos possessed Galaxia body and later merge and change Galaxia armor black and her skin gray for the final battle which looks nothing more copying the exact same thing when Queen Beryl merge with Queen Metalia nothing original and after Sailor Moon defeated Chaos and freeing Galaxia from Chaos she she thank Sailor Moon and she leave happy into space and we see her again in the end credits were naked Galaxia, Usage and Chibi Chibi flying in space with angel wings this is so confusing it makes no sense, this hole thing is just not interesting it weak backstory and redeem make no sense no motivation no purpose nothing and also don't like that Galaxia is helping Nehelania to rule get her revenge on Sailor Moon just to Awakened Sailor Saturn which is mess up crap, is it Galaxia destined to rule over all and no one else but her, the manga Galaxia is so much better she is threat and she has a purpose and motivation by Chaos of why she and her minions are doing this by staring a Sailor War by wiped out everyone on planets and take there star seeds and then Galaxia realized that Chaos was using her and after Sailor Moon save her but it to late to save her her bracelets are breaking apart and she pay the price for it and dies which is sad and I like it than the 90'S, so there that's all I have to said about Galaxia, all of Sailor Moon Villains season one through five of the 90'S were not threat, there ridiculous, backstabbing each other and killing one another to end and a weak make no sense redeem, backstory and happy life. @@josejulianaguirrepinzon7666 this last season was low on budget. it's very easy to tell from the final episodes because they used a lot of shortcuts - plenty of camera panning across static characters, scarce and detail-based animation on loop, etc.
