for creating brushes keep in mind to set the layer properties to "monochrome" then you can also use them with colors. and also, when you use white in the brush tip, it'll use the background color so you can make multicolored brushes

13:25 The outline selection is so useful! Every single time I've just fill a square, shrunk the selection and erased the inside. This is way easier!

Actually, related to the Companion Mode With the new 1.12.0 update (for CSP's 10th anniversary), you can use Companion Mode with all Android and iOS phones, working with iPad, Android tablets, Windows and Mac OS PCs And you can do it without the subscription for the mobile version as well. Simply by starting the app, while NOT creating a file, choose the new Companion Mode logo and follow the necessary steps

I've been using CSP for years and I'm slightly kicking myself for not exploring more of it (especially because a lot of the tips you've mentioned are really straight forward and easy to do). However, I'm also the type of person to mess things up and not know how to fix them when it comes to software, so I chose not to go much further than a lot of the default things and stuff I learned from occasional tutorials over the years. I can't tell you how much your videos of tips and tricks are going to be incredibly helpful to me as I work on my comic. Thank you ♥

For some reason I've been treating CSP like it's software from the early 2000s when it's way more advanced than that. I guess I'm just used to doing things the hard way and forget to investigate all the tools until now. The many hours I've sacrificed doing all of this manually 🤣🤣

25:20 Im going to start trying this out for skin tones first. Like, Ill paint a character's skin on a layer in B&W and then use a gradient map that I created for a skin tone with its light colors, mid tone colors, shadow colors, and even highlights to easily get, say, a pale white skin tone or a medium olive skin tone and then continue painting from there.

Ctrl + h = hide selection lines 13:25 - outline selection 17:05 - fix window size 21:21 - image materials (rule of thirds) 25:55 - item bank 26:20 - focal point for 3d references

Maybe this is an old one, but hold ctrl and spacebar while dragging your mouse to zoom in and out of specific areas on your canvas.

Hi JP great vid. I think you’ll find that the clip studio accompanying app with controls for the iPad can be used on an iPhone not just Samsung. At least they do on mine 😊. Though as you say you need the mobile version of clip studio on the phone. Very cool

I might've missed something. I really need to know how to enable Custom Brush previews (similar to Photoshop). Having the cursor be the shape of the actual Brush tip?

in tip 21(11:38), for me, these little options do not appear under the square selection,how can i fix that?

i had this problem too for a bit (i have a habit of making my csp window thingy big enough that the bottom hangs off my screen so, don't do that). if you go to the bottom of the thing that has "Tool Property" w/ the icon of the pencil and gear- at the bottom right of that window thingy is a little wrench. idk if it's there for every tool/selection but the wrench for me is what opens the sub tool detail palette. hopefully this works for u

is there a way to prevent windows from being dragged around, getting tired of accidentaly dragging my subwindows out of the main ones then struggling to remember where exactly they slot in

yep! It's Window > Palette Dock > Lock Palette Position Just remember to uncheck it if you ever want to move things around again
